Saints only club in PL without undersoil heating
CB Fry replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
This has been done to death. If the weather actually gets so cold it freezes the pitch, the game would already be called off because weather that cold would make the roads/pavements too treacherous to allow the game to go ahead anyway. So not having u/soil heating is a perfectly good idea. So shut up. -
Like the way losing or drawing to us is seen as " a disaster"
CB Fry replied to chocco boxo's topic in The Saints
...that is what he said more or less. What's the problem? If they want to stay up, losing at home to a team like us is a disaster. What is the problem with you people? -
That's our catchment area fu cked then.
-
Why would WHU want to swap any of their players with a League One team like that?
-
High praise indeed.....

Can I be the first to complain about the completely anti-Saints bias shown by the BBC in the Everton post match report.

Chelsea 2 Saints 2 - Post Match Celebrations & MotM
CB Fry replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
We're staying up now you slags. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. -
We've got a chance of getting something from this game which mathmatically equal to the chances of Man United getting relegated.
-
Correct. We clearly need to strengthen in the "it's far too early to judge him, give it two seasons and you'll see" department. We need two or three hot prospects for 2015 in NOW, we can't wait until the end of the window.
-
I've been saying for months that Gaston needs a Cleber Chala/Imants Bledelis alongside him. Let's hope this guy is a sh it enough player to fulfil the role properly.
-
No worries! Too many layers I think. I needed someone to get it quickly before the mob buried me under a barrage of "how dare you compare him to Steve Wood when he hasn't even played" outrage... Note to self: lay off the puns.
-
I made a joke but I don't think anyone will get it. David in Sweden didn't but then I didn't put any of it in bold. It was only a stoopid pop culture pun anyway. Oh well, this bird has flown.
-
I've been reading up on this guy and as far as I can see he's nothing more than a Norway version of that centre back we signed from Millwall in the early nineties. Isn't it good...

Who we've been linked with for January thread...
CB Fry replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
No way. Hooper clearly was first choice. Him and Nige go way back. -
Just mentioned it on Five Live. Apologies if this is old news.... "close to signing" and Liverpool trial thing mentioned.
-
Good for you. Well done. West Ham and Man United will both be in the Premier League next season.
-
Not really. I wrote my original point purely a way of expressing my opinion that WHU aren't going down, ie on a par with "WHU going down is as likely as me being able to unscrew a lightbulb using only my penis". I honestly didn't think it was a particularly imflammatory statement. It's only when Les Bender started going apesh it I started needing to defend it because he is someone worth having a pop at on here. I see others are still going on about pointless mathematical likelihood. Good for you chaps. Look people. West Ham aint going down, and neither are Man United. Both of them are as likely as each other to be in the Premier League next season. What larks. Good night.
-
It's not a theory. It's my opinion about West Ham not being relegated this season. West Ham won't be relegated this season. Not sure why you need to spell out statistical proof about Man U staying up. Of course they're staying up. Them, and West Ham.
-
West Ham aren't going to be relegated. Just like Man United. That's it. The "several people" can all see if I am right in May.
-
You do realise that seventeen teams don't get relegated and only one becomes champions? And you do realise that seventeen is a much bigger number than one? And you do realise I haven't used the phrase "equal chance" at any point on this thread? You can put it in bold as much as you like. And you do realise you are a moron?
-
No idea what you're on about but it is not in the slightest like saying West Ham will win the title. If you think WHU are going down, good for you. Lets see who's right in May. 11th place. 26 points. Half the season gone. And suggesting they definitely won't go down is "ludicrous". You're a joke.
-
17 clubs will stay up. Man U and WHU will be in that 17. Together. Get over it.
-
Nice try. I have a five year old myself and we enjoying making up stories together. None of them match up with the fairy tales you're coming up with on here. If you're going to try and talk down to me, don't let your starting point be utter cluelessness.
-
What on earth is an "independent valuation" anyway? Useless, made up numbers. Since promotion from L1 we have spent millions. Since promotion from the NPC we outspent nearly every club in Europe. So unless you genuinely think we are labouring with genuine L1 players (and you can name them) I fail to see your point. The "perspective" posts always come from a "poor us" perspective but that doesn't make it true. Most clubs, including Newcastle, would kill for the funds we seem to have to spray about. And plenty of promoted clubs have thrived in the prem without sloshing cash about like we have. Go and look at WBA's all time highest transfer in. And they have done fine. So I don't accept that we are in a disadvantage to these mighty clubs around us. Quite the opposite. The exact opposite.

It tells us the teams on 26 points after that many games did not go down. And that the bottom three teams came from the bottom four then. The brains trust on this forum can talk about collapses and mega surges of form but the brutal truth is very little will change between now and May. West Ham are as likely as Man United to go down. They aint going down. If that was Saints in that position right now Les Wender and gang would be crowing about Champions League and 50,000 stadiums and sneering at anyone saying we were scrapping to stay up.
