  1. We have plenty of divs who support our nearest rivals who are completely besotted with us, have been since birth and still are, despite being streets ahead of us on the pitch for several years now. Besotted and posting on Saints forums over and over and over again. Besotted.
  2. Someone who says they didn't realise the standard of the league they had taken a job in has not been taken for a ride. Especially when that league is the fifth most popular league in Europe. Ignorance is not an adequate defence and Jan is clearly an idiot.
  3. All I know is someone delivered a full training kit to Gordon Strachan's house the other day and he is definitely our next manager.
  4. There isn't a Pardew out bandwagon. Just fed up with the Alex Ferguson thing. It's irrelevent these days.
  5. I remember when Bruce Rioch got sacked after one season at Arsenal. Idiot short termism. Then look what happened.
  6. But my comment was about the besotted Pompey fans posting on this forum again and again and again. You are besotted with us. We're just having a laugh at our gigantic megaclub on our doorstep. We're the little guys jealous of Goliath down the road. But even when you tower over us you're still besotted with all things Saints. And you post on here, again and again and again. A Pompey supporter posting on a Southampton Football Club forum again and again and again is a weirdo. Saints fans on their own forum having a good old laugh about Pompey is normal. If you people want to take the mick out of a lower league football club on its uppers on your own forums then go ahead, but I won't be joining in to try and "win the argument" as one of you nutcases said you were trying to do on here the other day. "Win the argument". But really as a Premier League elite super power with a gigantic fanbase and European pedigree I have no idea why you would bother. Saints fans couldn't give two sh i ts about Pompey when you were nowhere for thirty years. As I said before - bunch of Freaks.
  7. Pardew was always going to be a Burley or a Strachan - big-ish name with success and failure behind him, who could go either way. Lets hope his Burley period is a soon-forgotten blip and we get the full Strachan by the end of the year.
  8. Yep. It's just pointing and laughing, which as the teeny tiny lower league club faced with a European Megarich Megafanbase Megaclub on our doorstep we're allowed to do that. We'll never know what it could be like to be that successful and world renowned so we have to take the micky. What is hilarious is the fans of said SuperClub don't seem to be focused on their galacticos and their challenge for their rightful Champion's League spot but instead are completley besotted with us and post on here over and over and over again. Utter freaks.
  9. It is absolutely the right time to panic. Pardew talked about chalking off the ten points by the start of September which as an objective was neither unrealistic or unachievable by organising (and selecting) the right personnel. We are now way off track. Yes it is three games in but we are p155ing the collective anticipation hope and goodwill up the wall very quickly. Charlton have made a cracking start under Pardew's deputy. Leeds used -15 to charge up the league. I'm sick of people saying how impossible our task is. Pardew is being paid hansomely for a job his CV says he can do. He does need to start doing it quick. And no, I am not calling for his head, but I am sick of season after season of lame give them until Christmas, no give them until March, no point sacking him now etc etc. Pardew is the big name manager in this division, there is no one bigger. He has to deliver.
  10. Pick any club that has been successful over the past five years, at whatever level - be it Man United, Swansea, Wigan, Peterborough or Burton Albion. They all give anodyne rallying calling interviews to the local media week in, week out. All of them. All the time. Suddenly not doing interviews to the local paper and the official club website is not going to win us a single additional throw in. It's just part of the job. We're stuck with them, much like Wasps, Tesco and Alan Hansen.
  11. I am now slightly concerned that we have employed the Charlton Athletic Pardew we feared rather than the Reading Pardew we wanted.
  12. What a load of bo llo c ks. We were never going out of existence and even if we were it doesn't mean we all have to dance jigs of gratitude for our wonderful players when we have been utterly played off the park by Swindon. The only w*ankers are those that think we have to say "well done chaps, you were brilliant" even when we've been utterly dicked out of sight.
  13. Rasiak - the ultimate impact sub. Christ.
  14. Sounds like Total Football out there.
  15. The only hope is the fact that they have battered us and deserve to win easily (as it sounds on the radio) but are only one nil up. The kind of game if it was the other way round Saints could easily **** up and end up with only a point or even losing if the tide turns. So Swindon could still blow it. I know its a long shot, but it's all I've got for you.
  16. Because SaintsTV (as was) have the exclusive licence. I was hoping that would have died off with admin, but Saints Player seem to have sewn it up again, but I haven't subscribed this year. It is a joke charging for radio coverage of third tier football. (Liebherr out etc).
  17. I don't understand which part of "I don't have any money now but I will have £100m in six months" you lot find so implausible. We'll be laughing on the other side of our faces when Diego Maradona leads out Requilme, Eto'o, Ribery and the rest of the Portsmouth team in the World Cup final against Brazil next July.
  18. LOL. Fair point. At least I've not taken my own advice - ten years in and I've given the old ten grand freeload-a-thon the swerve for now. But I do have the mortgage, the "quiet nights in" and the ever expanding mountain of kids toy plastic growing round my feet......so I'm only "free" on paper Love your description of the family by the way - sounds about right to me!
  19. 'Arry's just been on Five Live slating his "spiritual home", revisiting the fact they only cobbled together 17,000 for the first Prem game of the season and spluttering at the notion of them filling a 30-40,000 seater stadium. "They can't do it". Also, hilariously, he talked about Defoe being sold for much less than they paid for him. The common denominator each end of those those deals being..... And a snorted "I'll believe it when I see it" when the studio panel were telling him the Doctor megabucks deal is still on. I think he had a text on his phone from someone telling him otherwise, he hinted as much. Arf. Always liked the bloke, me.

Wotton definitely wouldn't beat this one. A really quick mover. It was there. And then, in a flash Gone.
  21. Remember Corp has already told us Sacha's only using Portsmouth "as a toy" - he couldn't give two hoots about making any profits or anything as tasteless as that. Just a little plaything he bought to cheer up the gypos in Paulsgrove for a couple of years who he loves so deeply. Probably more than his own family. Who cares about silly old money? Just a toy. Not for profit. No sirree.
  22. So it is, but you brought it up on here to have a whine. And anyway, I like the principle of people's savings being saved for covering them should they find themselves or their family jobless, or ill, or in trouble, or to treat themselves to a wedding, a car or a holiday. Not to be guilttripped out of their accounts into some pie in the sky football club scheme when there were businesses out there ready to take the debts on professionally. Now you know what it would have felt like to everyone else.
  23. Funny that Milan made a fat profit out of you though, aint it? And Funny that the ulitmate "I'm only doing it for the love of the club" ultramegafan pompeytillIdie owner Sacha seems pretty darn keen to get all his investment back. It's a toy but your current owner is holding up the queue in Woolies with a reciept in his hand ranting about speaking to the store manager. He wants his money back, mush. Or, to put it another way, he's "doing it for profit".
  24. Seems to me there's a massive difference between you gobbing off on here, in the Echo and elsewhere about people putting hands in their pockets left right and centre and you actually contributing your own money to something. As is often the case, it is so much easier getting on one's high horse when you are spending someone elses money. You seem incredibly attached to your own, though. PSML at you running off to the small claims court to claim back an amount less than you were demanding normal saints fans cough up for your little scheme not so long ago.
  25. Actually, no they wouldn't. It isn't like us where we could screw Aviva down to accepting a fraction of the total mortgage on SMS. Pompey's debt is all player wage related. And the PFA (and the PL) will demand all player debts are honoured. Every penny of it. In football you can't walk away from those debts. You can with the Pie Supplier and St John's Ambulance, but not with players - it is written. That's why Leeds were still paying Robbie Fowler four years later and why there is so little wriggle room for our friends down the road.
