His account is very Fortuna Sittard heavy.

Never felt that Tella would stay, it's an easy signing for Burnley to make and why on earth would Tella come back after such a phenomenal season in the Championship just to try and do it again with a team full of strangers and new manager he doesn't know? We're going to get far more money than we would have done if we'd flogged him a year ago. It's not the worst outcome.

If we don't win the Champions League playing attractive free flowing football you can stick it up your ass

These are the kind of quotes that eventually come back and bite you. Just a total straw man that all the other clubs don't know what they're doing but we do. You can go back ten years and clubs were talking about using data to fill specific gaps/needs. Leicester and us (and others) thought they had the magic formula as well. Let's give it another two or three seasons and we will see if Brighton carry on their magic touch in the transfer market.

We should be pushing the envelope here and going for the low hanging fruit going forward.

Didn't realise that - makes sense. Thanks for the info.

Always got the sense that one of the seasons in the Hummel contract would be the Denmark kit but I'd still be slightly surprised if we went with that for our first season down. White one looks a bit like a throw back to the white and "Solent green" we had back in 1989/90 or so.

The formation of the Premier League created a bigger financial schism and disparity than whatever happened in 1980s. The question from the original post I replied to was what have Arsenal "done to everyone else for years" and all that people seem to come up with is the gate receipts thing 40 odd years ago. But the formation of the Premier League in 1992 is er, "not in any way relevant" but shit that happened in 1983 is relevant. Got it.
-
Why are you replying to a pointless thread on a football forum when people are being made redundant?
-
Ok, so we are going back 40 years - so the logic further up the thread is that it is absolutely fine for Manchester City to dominate football winning everything for a decade or more because it pisses off Arsenal because of stuff that happened 40 years ago. When, and lets be absolutely clear about this, Arsenal didn't dominate anything because they won the league one entire time in the 1980s.

The UK aren't at war so there isn't a front line. If you mean UK Nationals being mercenaries for foreign countries then we can only assume you'll be on the first plane out of here to support kindly Uncle Vlad in his battle with the Nazis. What time is your flight?
-
Er, Saints were in on that as a founder member of the Premier League. As were Manchester City. But other than that, yeah, great point. Jesus wept.
-
Except Arsenal didn't help themselves to the best players, Wenger built the invincibles from good scouting and coaching. So in summary Arsenal winning the league in 98 and then in 02 and 04 is something Arsenal fans should be punished for, but City winning four seasons out of five with financial doping is brilliant lads keep going keep winning brilliant brilliant brilliant Absolutely crystal clear 👌

What did Arsenal "do to everyone else for years"?

You can put this kind of fatuous comment on every single thread on this forum, why single out the one about our new kit?

I'm sorry I don't have a Jesus Wept big enough for this absolute horseshit. -
You've built up an absolute pile of strawmen here, well done. But in this heat it's quite the fire risk.

If I got the job tomorrow I'm pleased I would be guaranteed to have your support because you'd have to give me a chance to bed in and get my ideas across. 👍👍 After all, Alex Ferguson took three whole years to get going and look how well he did in the end.

I wish we were Leeds.

No doubt he'll be back at the election standing in a significantly safer seat than Uxbridge. The old dears at the Conservative associations of Surrey will be falling over themselves. In the meantime gets to shit stir. Win win. -
So, we now know the identity of the winners of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference in five years time.

None of these facile banalities means that Le Tissier is remotely correct about this stuff. He's not, he's just got too much time on his hands.
