  1. Real breaking news from the Mirror today http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-news-transfers-nathaniel-5426018
  2. Cant believe they are not in for Guly tbh
  3. Gets my vote. Saw him in Dublin 18 months ago. Ridiculously silly at times but some of it was genius. Could not stop singing later that night...
  4. Do you mean £5k total for both, or £5k each? No idea on roadies, as I never ride roads, but MTB is very much my experience and happy to help based on budget. Assuming you want a trail bike, not XC or DH, then grab a total bargain of a British HT bike, called the Bird Zero. http://www.birdmtb.com/zero-hardtail/ Top specification at excellent prices. Bird is run by three MTB enthusiasts, based south of Reading with a direct sales / low overhead approach, hence very good prices for their kit. Five different models ranging from £995 to £1,800 and then you have a raft of options to interchange, downgrade or upgrade the spec, or you can buy frame only if you wish. Even the base model has an excellent spec though. All the bike mag tests have been raving about this bike, here is one: http://www.mbr.co.uk/reviews/hardtail/bird-zero-1-review I have an Aeris, their full suss bike, on order having taken one out for a day to thrash through Swinley forest. You can arrange the same demo with a Zero too.
  5. Great results. Surprised at the staff number increase though. A few in the coaching set up, and perhaps wider network of scouts etc, but that does not account for many surely? Staplewood preparations may have involved a few?
  6. Agreed, have been in there and the Market Porter. Happy to go with the Sheaf as the meeting point if others happy
  7. Think Stevie Wonder should stick to music
  8. This is a great pub in Borough Market, just across the road from London Bridge tube exit http://www.wheatsheafborough.co.uk
  9. Is there a midweek date in the near future that you can make, or is that only certain for Arsenal fixtures?
  10. This. I am shortly joining a law firm so if they need another employment law expert, David, dont wait by the phone
  11. I have sympathy with this view but dont agree with last point though. There can be quite a difference in how apparently similar cars drive / ride / handle and I have had this quite high up my list of requirements when buying, funds permitting. Take the three main German premium hatchbacks as an example. The new A class looks very smart (IMO) and is certainly expensive, but almost every review says its quite "wooden" to drive, with limited feedback and a tendency to understeer. The Audi A3 is similar. The BMW 1 series, arguably the least good looking, wins on the driveability comparison by some margin. Yes, this will not matter to some buyers of course, and other factors may be more important. But if I was spending £25k plus on a new one of these, or even £10k on a used one, I would want it to drive better than some of them do.
  12. 100% this. There is plenty of space for dull, predictable 5th gear type reviews if people want that. But Top Gear could, and should, have done reviews of cars, whether £9k hatchbacks or £30-35k exec saloons, in its usual style including a track test and banter etc but make them relevant and informative at the same time. Still plenty of room in the hour long show for jolly rocket explosions or whatever, for viewers who dont want to know how a car drives

Do we need another new thread on this latest no news? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?53452-Rodriguez-given-the-all-clear-and-set-to-return-next-month#.VRKD-IbfWrU
  14. This, mostly. I enjoyed some bits of the show but frankly the "reviews" of cars that normal people might want to buy or drive were scarce and no use to anyone
  15. The article says £50m and that the BBC are already working on a replacement for him and will keep the name of the show. Whilst they are right to decide what to do based on the facts of his behaviour and to ignore the profits in that decision, that does not mean that they ditch the show without him!
  16. Pretty sure that was the idea in January. Which tallies with him not being in the Feyenoord starting line up according to others, so he may be a squad player only, but will still have to be pretty useful to replace Cork (and be ahead of Reed)
  17. Calling Jakko (above) back to this thread - has seen him play. My recollection is based on previous lengthy thread below. RK seems to like him as he is left footed. Was seen as maybe a stop gap in January. And he is not able to make the starting 11 for Feyenoord http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?53253-Tonny-Vilhena&highlight=Vilhena#.VRH6fobfWrU
  18. Underwhelmed if true. Doubting it is
  19. TBF, a good number of the kind folk I saw last weekend looked like they could not spell football, much less give a monkeys about any team
  20. Your usual standard of explanation persists
  21. Ditto as I work in London
  22. With plenty of Europa league games
