  1. Buggered off at the first opportunity, going on to have a pretty mediocre career at best.
  2. The unbeaten run goes on (and on and on and on)!
  3. I guess the main thing is to remember him in a respectful way that doesn't cause distress to anyone.
  4. So what's the correct protocol for this? How many days of national mourning will there be? Do we wear black armbands when out in public? So many questions right now...
  5. Cool! How much of England is there and can you bomb Fratton Park?
  6. That goal always draws a massive smile... ... and then I think about that offside goal in the final.
  7. I've a mate who works in the club and rumour has it that he signed on the 01st January, but those keepie uppies took over three weeks to get right.
  8. I'm personally very glad that didn't happen. If we'd kept him I don't think we'd be enjoying the position we currently find ourselves in!
  9. I’m with you there! Sucks to (probably) end up being third tonight, but hope still there to win this thing!
  10. Only if you they throw in prime Le Tissier as part of the deal.
  11. Free Benson!
  12. I'm so pleased to see this. Never agreed with the "we can't do it" talk as where there's a will there's a way and all that. Great job Saints!
  13. Marvellous stuff from Saints, isn’t it great to support a good team again! If we finish second, can we decline promotion? 😃
  14. Haha and they’ve missed a penalty!
  15. Tony Mowbray 1-0 down in his first game in charge of Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham.
  16. Skates 0-2 down too! 😃
  17. I’m starting to get used to this whole enjoying Saturdays again thing!
  18. Haha, nice one fishies! 💩
  19. A point not too shabby. This unbeaten run is remarkable but hopefully it’s not impacting the way we approach games, or how we defend leads.
  20. Well you live in hope I guess. There's also the small matter of our away game at Ipswich. Sadly, that damaging home defeat to them (and Leicester) will probably end up being our downfall in terms of automatic promotion.
  21. Slight difference is that Rickie was 34, and clearly past his best, when he signed for Cardiff. Ings is only 31 (a year younger than Rickie was when he left us for Liverpool). I'd love to have him back, could make all the difference in the playoffs.
  22. Indeed, and I can live with that.
  23. Thought I'd dredge up this thread as I have to give credit where it's due. 14 games unbeaten (and counting) is a hell of an effort and we should all be feeling pretty good about things after the dross we've had to suffer in recent years. I think today's result is the one we've all been waiting for to believe that we've really turned a corner. We may not go up automatically, but we're definitely no longer an embarrassment and that's all I wanted. Well done Saints! 😇
  24. Tom Lockyer is "alert and responsive" in the tunnel.
