Windy then! We have the wind for the second half, lovely jubbly! I refereed a game last Sunday which was very windy out on then heath here. Half time 4-0 to the team with the wind second half the team with the wind came back to 4-4. It was all played pretty much in one half. Some place goal kicks not even getting out the area!

Not that I am wasting time, waiting for Saints to kick off....but, if Chelsea lose today and Arsenal and Liverpool draw later today, Everton and Spurs draw tomorrow and Saints win today, and next weekend with a 3 goal shift in our favour over Liverpool, then next Saturday at 5pm Saints will be top of the table. Could be top for a week though as Arsenal are at Man U on the Sunday as well. Seems far fetched but hey, it is possible.

Looking forward to Sonisphere 2014. Looks like Metallica and ACDC are headlining 2 of the days....that will do me.

You are right f course, most fans are very fickle. The problem now is going to be keeping this up. Dropping down the league is the more likely than hitting the top of the league. So if we have a bit of a bad run, many will be saying top 6 yeah right! This is football and how football fans react. We will only know after 38 games where we are. This thread shows how knee jerk some can be. But hey this I great so lets unite as Saints fans and enjoy the moment.

What surprises me the most was this was very early in the season (it still is), but these comments were only a month ago. I could just about understand if it was our stumbling finish to last season. Saying this I cannot help thinking how much better it could be, if we beat Sunderland and West Ham at home and got a draw at Norwich. We would be top.... To greedy? Ha ha I am not complaining. Just saying, these are all teams that if we played them again, we would probably beat them!
