I do have to say that 40 years next year for the same badge, apart from a ball change a couple of times, is a long time for any football club not to change it? Has any club had there badge longer?

I think what the commentator is looking for is that the players want to go on holiday for the summer. Looks like the effort that goes into the first 3 group games of a major tournament.

Do you think this could be more to do with the players wanting to compete in club footballs biggest competition? Long hard season and missing out of top 4 would have also seen many of them leaving the club to play in the champions league. They also just secured another huge amount of money, that I believe they will use this summer.
