I think I am mellowing, I used to get really worked up after a defeat, but that was when I went to every game. I still get upset when we lose, but level will depend on how we lose. But I shake it off really quickly. Win and I am really on a high until the next game, and I am still on a high from the promotion!! Defeat hurts, but I have far to much going on with my life, busy at work, busy at home, a growing family. The close season has flown by, but I still cannot wait for Saturday, like a child on Christmas Eve!! COYR!!!!

I will hopefully be buying the new home shirt on Saturday, and will put the yellow kit on my Christmas list....... where is the mini shirt? I want the mini shirt FFS!!

Anyone know when this will be out to buy. Was hoping to have a bit of a shopping spree on Saturday as my car is now out of date!!

I expect if you looked at the 2nd, 3rd and 4th game of the season over the same period of time we have not won to many of them either. Lets face it we have been pretty naff for a few years until the last couple of years and 2003/2004.

1988 we beat West Ham 4-0 on the opening day of the season!!

Well I do not get down to many home games these days living 2.5/3 hours away, but there was no way I was missing out on the first game of the season on Saturday, even if the kick off is at 17.20, on Sky, and in the summer holiday's. I really cannot wait, and yes during the season I would be put off by the fact it is on sky and save a 5-6 hour round trip and plonk my bum on the sofa to watch Saints. This is though the first game of the season and against Leeds United so the effort is being made, but will not be going to to many games this season home or away, with another baby on the way!! Cannot wait for Saturday COYS!! Having said all this I can see about 23k turning out, but that is not bad in the scheme of things!!

I do not post on here while taking a dump. I do not use this site anywhere apart from on a laptop or a computer as it is far to uch like hard work. I pop on Kerrang radio and play some stick cricket for around 20 minutes or so!!

I still have the 1988/89 season video, and even though we had a great start, but a poor season overall the video is really well made.

The late goals against Brighton I believe was a key turning point in the promotion race. After that game we looked unstoppable!!

No it was black and had the Saint stick figure on it. I had this mug for years until my wife broke it!! It sums up Saints that we can only win 6 on the spin and also we had to put it on a mug!!!

Keith Richards must be around 26 now, so not long left!

Now that would smash the record, and I would not expect that to be beaten again!

Right as the countdown has begun, I am hoping that we can at last blow away the club record of 6 straight wins. I believe we have done this twice in the 60's and the early 90s. Beat Leeds and it will be 7 straight wins in the league. I have been following this record since I had a mug in the late 80's that had the 60's record on it and it was out of date within weeks of me getting it. As we had a joint record, and then lost to Forest at home in 7th game (when Matty missed the pen) Because of this mug I have had a close eye on the record and have often thought 7 straight wins should not be that hard, but it seems for Saints it is. We have now matched the record for the 3rd time when beating Walsall, but can we beat this record as well as beating the first day of the season stumbling block that we seem to have.

Would prefer to sell them just for cover price, not after a profit! There are a lot of places that will take them closer to the time, but getting a bit nervous at the moment over time!

No worries mate, he did contact me and say he was going to Sonisphere and would pay next week, but never happened. No worries I thought it might happen, you know with payment being put off a couple of times already, just do not want to be out of pocket, so cannot wait any longer as it is only 6 weeks away now!

I have 2 x Reading Festival weekend tickets with camping for sale. The event is the same as normal bank holiday weekend in August. Cannot go anymore and only want to cover the money for the tickets, so you save all the booking fees and whatever else they add to the ticket amounts. If you are interested please reply or PM me.
