  1. I dont understand why people want to move away fans, yesterday was different because it was a Cup game with more than usual. I can remember the Cup game against Pompey and the 2003 FA Cup games with the same numbers and there wasnt any problem with atmosphere and noise then. So it would appear the problem now is fans these days are not making enough noise ? Lets not forget the very cheap tickets yesterday meant allsorts of people turned up. Originally Saints fans went into the northam blocks to be near away fans then some went to the northam corner. There would be little difference if away fans were in the kingsland corner and like yesterday would go right across the northam stand. West Ham will have 5000 fans so people better get organized and hopefully the prices wont be silly cheap and nearer the £20+ mark The ability to isolate away fans to a degree is a good reason to keep them in the corner, britannia road can be closed the fencing can go up in the car park etc None of that would be possible if the away fans at 3K went into the kingsland corner and even more STs would need to move. Saints are lucky to have such a good arrangement and im sure the health and safety licence shows that.
  2. A member of the Ted Bates family has been very upset with claims made in the media last week.
  3. So a former victim of BH has said that hes attended meetings with others at the club in recent years and the Ted Bates statue has never been mentioned.
  4. Eh... Why the hell would the club leak a story to the media about inconclusive claims, nobody with a brain would do that.
  5. Whats it got to do with 'the athletic' its none of their business and theyve merely latched on to the media frenzy around statues coming down and wanting attention to their poxy website. This is pure club business on such a serious subject and Dan Sheldon should be thinking, no this isnt something that i want my name attached to and is better off coming from the club.
  6. No evidence ! Any Saints fan out there subscribed to this 'athletic' needs to cancel it and complain about the conduct of Dan Sheldon and this disgusting article. If as people suggest 'they knew' then how did BH continue with football academys locally in the 90s and get jobs at bashley and winchester ? Dave Merrington started work in 1983 i think and was the first person acting on something he heard that complained to Nicholl and to the board. The only 'hands up' you can point to in my eyes from the club at the time of Higgins leaving in 1989, they told the FL but failed to tell the Police for a set time. I also think after the failed court case in 1992 the club never seem to consider any thoughts to those that gave prosecution evidence. But back then was there any counselling around like nowadays ?
  7. In depth ? Anyone that pays for this shite is a total mug.
  8. Appalling that this has come out via Dan Sheldon, who apparently is someone that attends every Saints game and media gathering. Did he not stop to think that just maybe the club should be the 'only' ones making comment with such a sensitive subject ? Clearly he didnt as hes only interested in getting 'the athletic' media attention and gullible people to pay to read their twaddle. The fact is there is no evidence about Ted Bates and the barnardos report as i see it is purely 'their opinion'. Well its my opinion that the club are not responsible for the actions of Bob Higgins in anyway. There are many unanswered questions around the original police case that flopped becuase ???? If as claiimed 'everyone knew' in Southampton then why didnt anyone actually tell the police back then ? Now we have Ted Bates legacy stained because of Dan Sheldon and his shitty employer.
  9. Got you paying then LOL
  10. Its clickbait garbage that fans shouldnt have to pay for to read news thats been leaked to their journos.
  11. What is this 'athletic' load of tabloid tosh
  12. The only thing i can see is the FFP spread and Chelsea needing to create some sales money to accomodate new arrivals.
  13. You just need a negative LFT its no big deal and to try and create a safer environment is better than closing it.
  14. Whats the context to this ? original link needed if you can from ons 50million plus people in the uk have had both vaccines, so i would expect more deaths. Dont tell le tissier that in 2017 due to the flu vaccine not having the right mix a good 50,000 excess deaths in uk.
  15. Le Tissier is a dangerous conspiracy theorist, who continues arrogantly to put peoples lives at risk. He's long lost the right for any say on Covid and to see him on 'GB News' and the vile 'Dan Wotton' really just sums up the mess hes become. He claims to be a 'critical thinker' and then talks about footballers and health issues. So how come his 'research' has totally missed the fact that in this country, the recent player health on/off field events has nothing to do with vaccines ? Yet because he lives in a world of 'confirmation bias' he will only consider that its all covid vaccine related. Thew fact the world has been in a respiratory disease pandimic for two years seems to have been lost on Le Tissier. Le Tissier is suppose to be a club ambassador and has pissed all over that in the last eighteen months with his conspiracy views and telling people to ignore all health measures to mitigate covid infection. To think he even works for the community Saints foundation as well. Shameful and i fail to understand why the club has not removed him from both roles. Le Tissier has responsibilites and has ignored them all and blocked many saints fans on social media for telling him to pipe down.
  16. Trying to create an enviroment where risk mitigation has been applied is common sense.
  17. Common sense and logical to try and reduce problems inside football stadiums with something simple of being jabbed or a negative test. The alternative to that is not having any fans in games, which might well happen anyway in January. Anyone who think this is a conspiracy or any other human rights bollocks, needs to see a psychiatrist.
  18. Beneficial to any club really owning the land around their stadiums, in our case in the future it would help with expansion as the car parking in northam stand would be reduced heavily. I would be looking at wanting say 25% of the land on whats being sold next to the existing car park. There was a plot of land opposite itchen available a month or so back which again would be useful for club at the right price.
  19. Demolition will start soon as its been passed and then the long process of cleaning the land which will take some time. It doesnt sound like the club are interested ? no money i suppose, when the ideal oppurtunity for future expansion is on a plate. Quite why anyone wants to retain the lumps of metal is beyong weird.
  20. Bob Ratcliffe (jims brother) is the football person at Ineos.
  21. I think le tissier is on the spectrum somewhere, nobody can be that thick, naive and irresponsible without a brain issue.
  22. Maybe this needs highlighting.............. "Coronary heart disease is the UK's biggest killer, with one in every four men and one in every six women dying from the disease.
  23. Nothing to do with vaccines thats for sure, be that on the pitch or off it. Shame thats given weirdos another dead horse to flog with their public health danger views.
  24. Peak wokism, why do these people have to bring sexuality into it all ? Ive watched football for what four decades and never thought or cared about the sexuality of who was standing next to me. I note one of these so called founders only attended his first game a couple of weeks ago ! LOL If you want to treat people the same be that sexuality or color of skin, you dont have these pr 'grouping' gimmicks that puts targets on them.
  25. Hes a clown and typical tabloid bullshitter, shouldnt be allowed anywhere near SFC
