I agree. I know he was out with injury but when he did return for Leeds, I thought he "went missing" in the games I saw him play on Leeds run in. In my opinion, nowhere near international level. Declan Rice and JWP should be above him in the pecking order.
-
You beat me to it. He knows the English game. he knows the European game, is familiar with those in and around the squad. Why not?
-
Their fans were spitting nails with them buying Bertrand (albeit free) and Vestergaard, Brendan seems to collect Southampton players as though they are Panini stickers. It doesn't matter if they're any good or not, he just needs them to fill his album. If he comes back for Theo, he'll have the whole set.
-
Charlie Austin's coming back then. 🤣 (I find that if you set your expectations extremely low, the anti-climax is far easier to stomach)
-
Good luck to him. Always been a model professional. I really hope he has a successful time at Reading.
-
I'm guessing no one has seen him since.
-
If true, might mean Rice is leaving Wet Spam and they want to get the replacement in early and would be able to afford him. Wait and see how much they get for Rice and then match the price for them to have JWP.

Definitely not good enough in my opinion. Reminds me in a way, of Jordi Clasie, insofar as I always expect a bit more from him, but he never quite lives up to it, if that makes sense. Loaning him out wouldn't be the worst option, with an option to buy, to whoever he goes to. I really think Romeu will be one of the most difficult players to replace and from what I've seen, Diallo is definitely not the one.

It will be a freak result if Leeds get 6 points for a win in their only remaining game and pip us at the post!!!!

A few points if I may..... No guts. No fight. No plan. No coordination. No ambition. No passion. No clue. No fucking point. How many of our first team would get into the Liverpool reserves? Very few if any I would say. Liverpool played with that old cunning footballing tactic. Pass it to a team mate. Something Saints should have perhaps tried. Although we did seem to come on strong.......in the 92nd minute!!!! I'll admit, I've always preferred McCarthy to Forster....JUST, but he has had 6 months on the sidelines to sort his distribution out. What the fuck has he been doing in that time? Appalling display. And the whole falling on the ball when you catch it, to waste a bit of time near then end of the game, I get it! But he was doing it in the FIRST HALF. I'll also admit (all these admissions are very painful tonight) I have always been on the "Ralph IN" side of the debate, but one thing seems certain to me now, the team, for whatever reason, is not playing for him and we all know when that happens there is usually only one outcome. Boy, will we miss Romeu if, or when he goes. Diallo is not the solution. Tella apart from one pass looked like a lost child at the seaside. Broja is not the player he was when he came to us. DO NOT SPEND BIG MONEY TO KEEP HIM. To me, Che offers more in holding the ball up as a lone striker. JWP had a definite off night. Moi......what the fuck......at least he should get an assist for the brilliant flick-on at the near post that led to their second goal. Otherwise anonymous. Redmond - obviously a good goal and one other shot, but also anonymous otherwise. And Jack Stephens........a usual Brain Fart. KWP, Salisu and Lyanco I can't criticize tonight. At least it looked like it mattered to them. At least it looked like they were trying (even if Lyanco did try to play "keepy uppey" in a dangerous situation. Anyway, for what it's worth those are my thoughts.

Indeed. Very similar to the amazing final run-in that Fulham didn't have last year, if I recall correctly.
-
Haha. That feels like my whole life summed up in one video clip. Now on to more important matters. Having won the FA Cup I really feel Klopp should let his whole squad go on a three or four day drinking binge.......say, until Wednesday morning.

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere. For what seems like ages, everyone (commentators in particular) rattles on about how many points we have lost from winning positions. I haven't studied it in depth, and I may be wrong, but it feels like we have picked up quite a few points from losing positions this season, which may show a slightly stronger mentality than previously. No doubt someone on here will know the stats on that.
-
If it's 9-0 we'll probably get a mention....or two. I really don't want Liverpool to win the title, but there again, when they were beating Man City 2-0 and then 3-0 last weekend, I thought City showed what bunch of "bad loser" self-entitled, dirty bastards they can be too. It went beyond "shithousery" in my opinion - there were some nasty tackles in there. I'd settle for Liverpool winning 9-0 tonight and then losing to us to scupper their title chances.

I kept reading in the lead up to this game, Ralph saying we were going to "make it tough" for Chelsea. Well, it's a good job we did just that, otherwise it could have been quite a one-sided match! Further up the page someone suggested the fans should be refunded. I wasn't able to go to this game, yet somehow I still feel I deserve a refund.
-
Well yeah, I think I thought the same at the time as did quite a few on here I believe. To be fair, there were those on here though who said they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole and it looks like they have been proven right. Well done guys! I hadn't realised just how poor he'd become. One wonders if there are other issues involved with him. You don't go from being a pretty damn good player at one point to relatively suddenly, becoming a player that can't even be brought off the bench at relegation threatened Everton. Another terrible signing by those making the decisions at Everton. Spurs must be laughing their socks off. Had Lampard taken charge when they signed him? If so, I would imagine he had a large say in the matter.
-
Yeah. And how about Dele Alli? Has he actually started a game for them yet. On the bench again tonight and not even called upon in their hour of need. Wasn't that another £40m as well? Has to be the worst bit of business this season.
-
I can't remember in my whole life, ever wanting Burnley to win a football match. But I sure do tonight. I can't stand Everton. In my opinion they were the worst team I've seen at St Mary's this year.
-
Yeah - have a great time Warrior! If you can "borra a flat cap and a whippet for the weekend, keep saying "tackteeks" like Geoffrey Boycott, you may just get away with it. E By Gum - you can always tell a Yorkshire man......but you can't tell him much!
-
I see Chelsea Women have "thrashed" Leicester Women 9-0. Imagine supporting a team that loses 9.........oh.
-
If you'd had the sound turned up really loud I think you would have heard the ref saying "It's gonna cost you 12 Peso's and my sister wants to live in America, then I think it will be a penalty"
-
Sorry Yozzman - yes you are right. My mistake. Although I think good (great?) attacking full backs in the current game are at a premium right now.
-
I reckon we'll see some "big 6" interest in KWP in the summer.....unfortunately. So, how much is he worth now? Start the bidding at £60m I'd say. I think he is that good. Arsenal paid £50m for Dan Burn didn't they? Bearing in mind we have Tino and Perraud it would be a handy £60m to invest elsewhere. Just saying.
-
Prepared to eat my words later, but...... Today is the day Adam Armstrong becomes a Saints Hero!
-
He'll probably give Romeu the yellow card in the tunnel before they walk out.....just in case.
