Indeed. Very similar to the amazing final run-in that Fulham didn't have last year, if I recall correctly.
-
Haha. That feels like my whole life summed up in one video clip. Now on to more important matters. Having won the FA Cup I really feel Klopp should let his whole squad go on a three or four day drinking binge.......say, until Wednesday morning.
-
Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere. For what seems like ages, everyone (commentators in particular) rattles on about how many points we have lost from winning positions. I haven't studied it in depth, and I may be wrong, but it feels like we have picked up quite a few points from losing positions this season, which may show a slightly stronger mentality than previously. No doubt someone on here will know the stats on that.
-
If it's 9-0 we'll probably get a mention....or two. I really don't want Liverpool to win the title, but there again, when they were beating Man City 2-0 and then 3-0 last weekend, I thought City showed what bunch of "bad loser" self-entitled, dirty bastards they can be too. It went beyond "shithousery" in my opinion - there were some nasty tackles in there. I'd settle for Liverpool winning 9-0 tonight and then losing to us to scupper their title chances.

I kept reading in the lead up to this game, Ralph saying we were going to "make it tough" for Chelsea. Well, it's a good job we did just that, otherwise it could have been quite a one-sided match! Further up the page someone suggested the fans should be refunded. I wasn't able to go to this game, yet somehow I still feel I deserve a refund.

Well yeah, I think I thought the same at the time as did quite a few on here I believe. To be fair, there were those on here though who said they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole and it looks like they have been proven right. Well done guys! I hadn't realised just how poor he'd become. One wonders if there are other issues involved with him. You don't go from being a pretty damn good player at one point to relatively suddenly, becoming a player that can't even be brought off the bench at relegation threatened Everton. Another terrible signing by those making the decisions at Everton. Spurs must be laughing their socks off. Had Lampard taken charge when they signed him? If so, I would imagine he had a large say in the matter.
-
Yeah. And how about Dele Alli? Has he actually started a game for them yet. On the bench again tonight and not even called upon in their hour of need. Wasn't that another £40m as well? Has to be the worst bit of business this season.
-
I can't remember in my whole life, ever wanting Burnley to win a football match. But I sure do tonight. I can't stand Everton. In my opinion they were the worst team I've seen at St Mary's this year.
-
Yeah - have a great time Warrior! If you can "borra a flat cap and a whippet for the weekend, keep saying "tackteeks" like Geoffrey Boycott, you may just get away with it. E By Gum - you can always tell a Yorkshire man......but you can't tell him much!
-
I see Chelsea Women have "thrashed" Leicester Women 9-0. Imagine supporting a team that loses 9.........oh.
-
If you'd had the sound turned up really loud I think you would have heard the ref saying "It's gonna cost you 12 Peso's and my sister wants to live in America, then I think it will be a penalty"
-
Sorry Yozzman - yes you are right. My mistake. Although I think good (great?) attacking full backs in the current game are at a premium right now.
-
I reckon we'll see some "big 6" interest in KWP in the summer.....unfortunately. So, how much is he worth now? Start the bidding at £60m I'd say. I think he is that good. Arsenal paid £50m for Dan Burn didn't they? Bearing in mind we have Tino and Perraud it would be a handy £60m to invest elsewhere. Just saying.
-
Prepared to eat my words later, but...... Today is the day Adam Armstrong becomes a Saints Hero!
-
He'll probably give Romeu the yellow card in the tunnel before they walk out.....just in case.
-
Give him the choice of his current predicament and a surprise prostate examination, and I'm sure he'd welcome the latter.
-
The sooner that Chelski realise that, unless I'm mistaken, absolutely nobody has the slightest bit of sympathy for them, the better. Play with fire and sooner or later you get burnt.
-
Honestly guys (and ladies). Can't you see this is a "long term master plan". Historically we are absolutely shit when we play at Goodison Park. So we are doing everything within our power (lost against Norwich, drew against Burnley at home, lost to Watford at home, lost to Newcastle at home.......yet beat Everton comfortably at home) ......to get Everton relegated so we don't have to play at Goodison next year. It's cunning and it's brilliant!!!!
-
I remember either last season or the season before, Bournemouth used the same shithousery tactics at St Mary's to break up the flow of the game, a player falling down every 5-10 minutes. Obviously it's now being taught at Newcastle by.....um.....Oh, the same Eddie Howe. A few points (apologies if they are mentioned in posts further back in the thread) For me KWP was the best player on the pitch. I felt Broja had a very poor game. Adam Armstrong did more in 18 minutes than Broja did in 72 minutes. We actually looked our most dangerous when he came on......and I appreciate he get's a lot of stick on here. Hindsight is easy, but in retrospect I would have brought him on for the second half as it was clear it wasn't happening for Broja at all. (I'm not slagging off Broja by the way - he has been great for us, but tonight his head didn't seem to be in it. I wonder if the situation at his parent club may have had something to do with it. When all said and done he's still a young kid). Moi got into some really good positions, but seemed scared to shoot. Stu worked his socks off but didn't seem to get the rub of the green in the first half. Little flicks and passes weren't quite working, although I felt he was more effective in the second half. Che never gave up, worked his socks off, won a few flick on headers but Broja didn't seem to be alert to them. If Che's superb first half shot had gone in instead of rattling the bar it would have been a whole different game - fine margins! I thought Salisu looked a bit rusty particularly first half. Poor marking for both their goals. All in all, the feeling I got was - we were never quite "at it" tonight. Changing the subject - it took 3 and a half hours to get there from Newbury due to a lorry fire on the A34 - which meant a bit of "creative parking" when I eventually arrived 10 minutes before kick off. I should have known then, what sort of night it was going to be. I spoke to fans afterward who didn't get there until just before half-time. And on leaving the ground - whoever took the decision to close the M27 junction 8-7 for roadworks on a match night. Thanks very much..................... you utter tosser!

I shall. I'm in the Itchen corner with Chapel. If however, on the off-chance I am having a heart attack, can you get help to me asap. Much obliged. I'm pleased to report I have neither of those. 😀 Week 2 will be "I've broken my thumb nail, below the nail bed and it's bloody sore when I do the washing up" and then Week 3 we'll really startle them "Bloody hell my hemorrhoids are killing me"......see how many medical staff run over for that one!
-
I wonder what the threshold of a medical incident is. I think we need to test it. If we are under a bit of pressure at any time during Thursday's game against Newcastle, I shall start violently and uncontrollably sneezing everywhere and shouting "OH NO, I APPEAR TO BE GOING DOWN WITH A HEAVY COLD" and see if that brings a halt to the game. Perhaps someone else could shout out "OUCH, MY VERRUCA IS REALLY PLAYING UP". We'll gradually increase the severity as the season rolls on.
-
Surely we want Grealish to play, just so Oriol can renew his acquaintance. Can't wait to see the first coming together they have. My money's on Oriol.
-
Congrats. Best wishes to you, Mrs Skintsaint and the lad.
-
Good Luck Skintsaint. I guess you will be naming the baby, Ralph JWP Le Tiss Channon, (Surname)..........on the other hand, if it's a boy..........😀
-
WE FEAR NO ONE! If Man City have a bogey team this year....it's us!
