I have two Saints players in my Fantasy team. Guess which two? That's right..... KWP and Stu. Brilliant!
-
Yep. Brighton must be laughing all the way to the bank. The £50m Ben White looked like a fish up a chimney tonight - totally bossed by Toney.

BREAKING NEWS: PETTY BICKERING BREAKS OUT AGAIN ON SAINTSWEB. This time over a multi-coloured shirt. Boy, it's going to be a long season!!!

And also a very good headless chicken (just my opinion of course) at times. No thanks.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Saint Keef replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Well I guess the helicopter will have a tighter turning circle than Vesti. And this is only my opinion (others will no doubt disagree) but, I genuinely think a lot of Bednarek's problem in defence, was that he was covering a lot of the time for Vesti's lack of pace, hence making last ditch tackles and the like. I think with a more mobile partnership at the back we will see a better Bednarek. He didn't look too bad for Poland in the Euros. Dare I say on the few occasions he partnered Jack Stephens we generally looked "calmer". Vesti was useful for his height and long ball passing obviously and no doubt he improved last season but he still had lapse's in concentration which caused general panic among the others. Prior to the first lock down I felt he was a less than average defender, so £15m for me is not a bad bit of business. I also felt there may be an "attitude" thing with him. Only from my own observations. I remember watching him in his debut at St Mary's and even then he was having "digs" at Jack Stephens who IIRC partnered him that day. This all probably sounds like "sour grapes" but it honestly isn't. -
Apparently, according to the BBC, Jack Grealish "teared up" as he said goodbye to his boyhood club, Aston Villa. This is quite a coincidence, because when I found out that Man City had paid £100m for a bloke that keeps falling over, I found that quite eye watering too. Amen.

Re Bertrand - There is no doubting he served us well over the years but part of me thinks for the past couple of seasons he was "phoning in" his performance each week. He definitely looked "half arsed" towards the end. We needed to get rid with some fresh legs down the left (Perraud hopefully will supply that)

Hopefully we'll sign Tyrone Mings (not!!!!) but then you can just add an "M" in front of it.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
Saint Keef replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
If Leicester end up with Vestergaard, as well as Bertrand, they will have 50% of a back four that leaked 2,193 goals......(or something like that... Haha) last season. SELL!!!! -
With the certain bed-wetting that will go on, on this site, the mattress sellers of Hampshire will be rubbing their hands together in glee. I predict Jack Stephens, Redmond, Ralph and either of the two goalkeepers will come in for some serious stick on here if we haven't got maximum points from those opening fixtures. (I couldn't find a bed wetting emoji).🤣

"mightily peeved" is a bit strong Ivan.......personally I think "slightly miffed" is more suitable......possibly followed by "Sorry!"
-
Knowing this site Ivan, someone (one of the "usual suspects") on here will manage to be pedantic or start an argument over that quote. Something like.... "When you say wrong thread, what actually do you mean by wrong?" "Yeh, how was it the wrong thread"? "No it wasn't" "You said it was wrong" "I didn't actually say that". "Shut up or I'll hit you with my handbag" "Shut up yourself. Everything is shit" I honestly think there are people on here who should take a break, maybe go and follow that blue lot down the road for a season or two.......then they'd have something proper to fucking moan about. We are a premiership club. Have been for longer than many others. Sometimes we have a good season, sometimes we have an average season, sometimes we have a poor season. That's who we are. We are in a tank with much bigger fish, but somehow we keep going. Why not enjoy it while we can instead of whingeing and non-stop moaning. It's fucking tedious!!!!
-
So logically then......if Grealish is worth £100m and let's say JWP is only "half as good" as Grealish (not that I agree with this) we should be in for an offer of £50m for him. I know it doesn't work like that, but when we sold VvD, other clubs knew we had the money to spend. I hope we treat Villa in the same light.
-
Does that mean Fabianski is off? Still a good keeper IMO although he's 36 years old which I didn't realise..
-
I haven't listened to it, but just from that lyric, it sounds like The Beatles missed a trick with that one. Aaah they don't write 'em like that anymore. "We all live in in our yellow second kit, yellow second kit, yellow second kit" (when it arrives)
-
We'd have a better chance with Corporal Jones.....DON'T PANIC MR HASENHUTTL!
-
Every time I go to St Mary's I look for a poor guy in his old Saints replica shirt with OSVALDO printed on the back. There must be one somewhere. Haha.
-
Stick a torch on his head and use him as an extra floodlight.
-
I was genuinely surprised to read that he played for us 52 times. Really? He must have been pretty anonymous in about 48 of those.
-
He is definitely going to leave..........if he can be arsed!
-
No, you're probably right, but he can play at RB, or midfield and has played at LB. If we're thinking depth of squad he would be ideal in that he can play in a number of positions. Wonder what he's like in goal? Would he get much game time at Leicester? Not sure he would. Burnley probably more so.
-
SHIT! I can't find my black armband. It's bloody hot, but I'll just have to light a few candles.
-
We are Brighton aren't we? Or have I joined the wrong site? Anyway, I blame Jack Stephens or Brighton's equivalent thereof.
-
Thanks for that. As a matter of interest, who else was playing for Ex-Saints
-
Rafa might want him at Everton. Can you imagine it? Hahahahahahahahaha.......
