  1. in todays climate £14.5 mil is virtually debt free. i think you will find that part of that £14.5 mill is loss of potential revenue not actual revenue........i could be wrong?
  2. barclays will be reluctant to do anything, because of their sponsorship of the prem they cannot be seen to be destroying a club because of a relatively small debt compared to others. i admire your spirit but i think you should channel it into other ways of bringing about change........i dont know what that is but somebody better work something out soon or we will be relegated.
  3. the difference is leicester went down virtually debt free because mandick sorted that out,if we go down we will be up to our necks in it and lowe will just toddle off to his next experiment leaving us at the mercy of the gods. can you see lowe sticking his hand in his pocket? mandaric,(for all of his failings) seems to have got things right but only time will tell, whereas things havnt been right at sfc since it was leaked to the press that strachan was leaving and nobody has done a fvcking thing since to put it right.
  4. mandick is a bit more of a 'doer' than lowe and he puts his money where his mouth is,lowe on the other hand is over cautious and is reluctant to stick his hand in his pocket. they are both knobjockys but i would have to go with the man that would be best prepared to pull out all the stops to save this club, and it wouldnt be any of these 2 numptys.
  5. you're a cvnt, spend more time on the team and less on the night ladies.
  6. 'is there an aromatherapist in the house?'
  7. she might be nice lady and have the saints at heart but whatever she says wont make a difference, she along with afew others should have opened their mouths a long time ago instead of remaining silent. too little too late.
  8. wrong, lowe needed to act in the transfer window and if that meant flogging surman and lallana to fund a survival push then so be it,we may not like lowe but at least he would have been seen to be doing something. lallana has done nothing all season imo,he is dead weight and when sheffield went down to 10 men it evened things up as effectively we only had 10 men from the start. if the rumours are to be beleived about spurs wanting him then we should have taken their money. this has nothing to do with how i feel about lowe,it is how i feel about saints, the transfer window has gone and we didnt act and now we will reap the rewards for that.........probabally relegation.
  9. as a lot have stated on another thread that they think the recent transfer window was a success. do they still think it was a success after last night? because i dont,we may have kept hold of all our players (with the exception of the loans) but tbh were they really worth keeping? KD looked fragile last night (although he is allowed a bad game),lallana was rubbish, overall the team looked disjointed and instead of using the width to break the 10 men down it was pumped up the middle. overall one or two players looked ok but the rest didnt give a monkeys, they couldnt cope and were too easily beat by a very poor sheffield side. as i said yesterday on another thread 'we are walking a tightrope and we didnt invest in a decent harness so it looks likely we will fall' i felt lower last night than i did after the doncaster game,at least after the doncaster game we still had the transfer window, the hope that some players might be signed, the hope that we could get a better manager, now we dont have that,we are stuck with what we have got (manager and players) and they just are'nt good enough. maybe our only hope is a few decent loans, but i fear we have left it too late. our club is dead and the buriel will be at the end of the season. RIP we had some good times together.
  10. tbh i dont think he ever had it,the majority never wanted him and he certainly wasnt the best option available.........in way he has nothing to lose because imo he will not be around long enough to worry about upsetting the fans.
  11. yes it has worked for us in the past, maybe not recent past but it has worked, lawrie mac had a great blend of old heads ball, channon, osgood and youth williams, moran etc and it worked perfectly....perhaps thats what we should be doing today. wotte has shown that he is not as rigid in his team selections and line ups as JP was and i applaud him for that but we could do with a bit more experience imo. we have had a problem at this club for a few years of paying experienced players good money not to perform and this is not what we need or want.wotton and perry are good examples of experience on a budget and this is what we need. i applaud that we need to try the youth as we are not as flush as we would like to be but it shouldnt be relied upon, there has to be other options for when it goes t1ts up like it is now. if we survive i will be the first to admit that perhaps things have gone right because survival has always been the realistic option for us this season but i just think more could have been done to give us a better chance of surviving.
  12. where have i mentioned lowe? the truth is,our squad deserves to be where it is because they are not good enough,we can also chuck into the pot the fact that we havnt had good management on and off the field......that is the truth, however you want to dress it up. nobody wanted our players because they are not good enough and buying them wouldnt improve their squads.we have what we have but i refuse to believe that we couldnt have bought in a couple of experiened players(im not talking beckham or robinho etc:rolleyes:) but a couple of old experienced heads in the twilight of their careers who wouldnt cost a lot and wouldnt command stupid wages but know how to play football and at least give us a fighting chance to stay up. to continue with our current squad without any add ons will only see us stay where we are, they are unlikely to get any better and we will continue to struggle for points. as i said in my previous post,it is a good thing that we didnt sell anybody but we didnt add anybody either (of any note) ,so expect more of the same for the remainder of the season.
  13. i understand that we are not able to buy anybody of real value but there must be somebody out there who could do a good job and is better than what we have, after all our standard of player at the moment isnt very high so there must be somebody looking for a fresh challenge who would raise the standard. imo i dont believe that the club has done its best,if they had they would have recalled our loan players, all hands on deck and all that.
  14. this is me this morning in the snow up the sports centre.........anybody got a bigger one??:-)
  15. none of our current squad of players deserves to have any praise heaped on them at all imo, with perhaps the exception of KD,they have all been equally crap all season ths is why we are where we are, this coupled with the appointment of crap managers.we as a club deserve to be relegated with the way the club has been run and the decisions that have been made, just because we survive a transfer window unscathed doesnt indicate any success imo. do you think lallana is worth any great value? because i dont,he has done nothing to impress me all season and i couldnt care if he was sold or not, thats not to say that he couldnt become a geat player but if some premiership club wants to pay good money for him to sit on the bench or play for the reserves then they are fools. we have no real quality in the team, nobody stands out as head and shoulders above anyone else and i for one wouldnt be upset about any of them leaving but the truth is nobody was interested in them as they are not good enough at the moment. it is good that nobody was sold but it wont change our situation,we still have the same players playing the same crap football......what we failed to do was strengthen our squad with a bit of quality,a bit of experience was needed and it didnt happen. anybody who says the transfer window has been a success is nuts imo,we are walking a tightrope and we had the chance to buy a quality harness to keep us up and it didnt happen so now we are in danger of falling, simple as that really.
  16. do we have any 'best' players then? we are in a relegation scrap due to incompetant management on and off the pitch,to sell any players would be suicide.you are right in saying no backward steps were taken but the backward steps were taken back in the summer. you can gaurantee that if we were in a safe position in the league lowe would have shipped as many out as possible. dont think anything good has come out of this window,it is a false economy, the only thing that may be a bonus is the fact that skacel didnt get moved on but that really isnt anything to shout about.
  17. i think i would give him a go at right mid,i dont think he is strong enough or fast enough for right back but he does put a decent ball into the box. his 'pulling away' speed is very slow and this is where he gets done imo.
  18. the truth is they were taking the p1ss out of me. i have elephantitis of the b0llox.
  19. frustration at our sh1t form, turmoil on and off the pitch, uncertainty and lack of fitness is the root of our bad discipline record.
  20. no thankyou.
  21. although saga got the goals my motm was wotton,he made some great important tackles closely followed by saeijs.great goal celebrations as well.
  22. was expecting to see this tbh... but fair play it seemed like a good turnout.well done to all those that were there.
  23. if it takes as long to get rid of him as it did to sign him then im going for 6 january 2010.
