  1. I think it is clear enough already, but the facts remain that short of asking a random stranger walking by in the supermarket, nobody is wanting to do the job.
  2. Made me laugh.
  3. I don't think he should be considering either fence with his knee problems. That's an accident waiting to happen, FFS!!
  4. Perhaps he is playing because of injuries to other defenders and wouldn't actually be one of the two first choices if all were fit.
  5. Well perhaps they have a decent banking philosophy about when someone owes them money, they are strict about getting it. Perhaps Lehmans are not quite so strict, which is why they are now Barclays *****!!
  6. You might well be ****ed off but you wouldn't be entitled to a refund any more than a person that buys a car on HP brand new is who then discovers there is a better deal on the car a few months down the line.
  7. So if I understand you, you feel in a position whereby you can have a go at someone who used to go and watch the team play but for whatever reason has now decided they don't want to? Why should anyone go if they feel it's a waste of money? To prove they are true fans or to appease the fans that are set on seasonal routine they would probably keep going long after they slipped into a coma?
  8. I think the credit crunch is also having an effect but here on the internet everyone is super loaded and not being affected at all.
  9. I would say it is odds on he will. Christ on a bloody bike.
  10. I can't agree with your logic. Football is a business. Business men run the club. As with any business, you make your legacy on your success. Everyone, let alone "anyone" will support a club that is 7th in the Premiership or in a cup final. That is a sign of the "business" being run properly. If any business is run badly or the product is rubbish, it's customer base will fall away. Look at the type of people who have stood loyal for generations to a certain make of car. I know a bloke that has replaced his BMW every two years for another one for about 20 years. If they suddenly stop making the cars they currently produce and stick the BMW badge on something resembling a pale blue invalid mobile would he be considered in the same vein? I think he would probably sit back and wait until the company realised it's error and provided him with the product he wished to spend his money on.
  11. I have this weird thing going on with my PC. I can go to any website I type into the address bar, except this one. For some reason it just can't find this website and I get a message suggesting I may have typed the URL incorrectly or I might have no connection, both of which are incorrect. If I use any other PC on the connection the problem no longer exists and also if I use the dodgy computer but access through an I.P hider such as anonymouse I can find the website no problem. Has anyone any ideas?
  12. How wrong though?
  13. On this site there are currently two threads going that could have mirroring statements. One of them goes on to say that when MLT see's a goal go in for Pompey he doesn't look too pleased and makes a face off camera, and the other thread demands the sacking of Steve Claridge for not coming out wearing a Saints shirt and spraying his dog with red and white stripes when he takes him for a walk. I have always found Steve Claridge to be very evenly balanced with his views about Southampton Football Club. To be totally honest, despite MLT being by far the more gifted player, SC does make a much better football pundit.
  14. That's nothing. He has also auditioned to play a character called Troy Tempest in some new film.
  15. I think it would be fantastic news to be honest. Alan Shearer is a football icon figure and would not be joining us or anyone unless there was a pot of gold waiting for him to spend. He is like Dalgleish becoming player manager of Liverpool or Keegan on his first stint at Newcastle. If he is talking about the job then there must still be a take over simmering somewhere because no way would he be interested in it otherwise and neither would he be if it was a tinpot takeover that just meant ownership had changed and he was still strapped for cash. Bottom line is that Shearer as manager would pack St Mary's.
  16. I never saw anything overly explicit.
  17. I think the audience idea was brought in to try to replicate the great atmosphere created in The Galloping Gourmet show of the 70's. Obviously on Soccer Saturday there is far less cooking involved although I don't think it detracts from the show too much. They are both cr@p.
  18. Freddy Shepherd does have a point though. It is very easy to get your knob wet in Newcastle.
  19. MLT was guest to MLT. They spoke about football. Big MLT mentioned Shearer would like Saints job, little MLT thinks it's a done deal. Big MLT obviously has all the inside knowledge on Saints being bought out and because he loves the club so much decided it would be a great idea to tell little MLT unofficially. I think that's the crux of it.
  20. I saw Mark Wright have a poor game once at centre back.
  21. Would it be too much to expect things to be discussed in an adult way without baiting people with your over the top "lord Lowe" and "Insect crouch" comments. Apart from becoming very boring and largely inaccurate you are merely doing it to get a reaction. Just a suggestion but how about being a grown up?
  22. I think the expression is "stumping up" not "stumping down." Ridiculous.
  23. Part of me thinks that if we won a few more games it wouldn't matter if we were just open for 2 hours a week.
