You put your trust in a manager throughout the summer let him Buy/get free transfers & loans, then after 2 games sack him. Then ask someone else to try & get the best from a team he's not put together. Doesn't make sense. Have to say I didn't think he was up to much as a manager, but why let him have control all summer & be in charge of re-building the squad?

Could do a lot worse than JPS & would be more than happy if that's the way Pardew wants to go. But lets wait and see what he does to solve the CB problem,so far the 3 transfers he's come out with have been excellent & he may well produce another gem or 2 yet.

Just in from work reading the last few post's seems like we've got ourselves a gem in Lambert, glad he got off the mark so quickly, things do seem to be coming together. How did Rasiak perform did he look up for it, could we do what seems impossible & keep him?

Realistically I can't see Thomas & Perry being fit for another 45 league games so we need decent cover, 2xCB 1 at the very least. A decent holding midfielder, and another striker if as looks likely we lose Saga & Rasiak.

Not complaining Tic-Tacs just having a Laugh you've proved yourself up to date so keep up the good work just don't get yourself in trouble at work

Lambert & Paterson for me, I was impressed with Paterson on Sat his overall willingness to work the back four never gave them time on the ball & his tackling back was good. Also he took his goal very well, and games under his belt at this level with Lambert can only help him improve. Also not convinced by Saga at all. And it appears that neither Saga or Rasiak want to be here so ship them both out & lets get another striker in for cover/competition.

I Don't think any transfer will ever compare with that one. But having been through the last 5-years it does have that sort of feel good factor & a definite statement of intent can't stop :smt040 all day.

Have to agree felt a good vib about the season sat morning. And I can't remember feeling this positive about Saints for a long long time. Today's transfer news has increased the positivity. As some have also said its GREAT simply talking & debating football issue's without every debate turning into a slanging match. Onwards & upwards COYR

Jesus ML is really doing the business He's given us a decent manager, 3 excellent signings & now a real ITK in Tic-Tacs

Totally agree CL If he's scored anywhere near 30 goals a season for us in those three years then £800.000 to £1mill + wages would have been an absolute bargain IMHO
