Yes that gets me too, Is any of this debt towards the new stadium if not where the hell has a club that was Debt free before they took over suddenly have a 300-mill debt???
-
Just been an economist on Sky Sports Talking about Liverpool case 300-mill in Debt 32-mill in interest payments alone said that Gillet & Hicks have a real problem. Says they may be forced to sell/ get another investor in to help out. This just shows along with United that how dangerous it is as these foreign owners, they are not buying the clubs with there own money, & just putting clubs into debt & allowing the clubs to foot the buyout with massive loans.

Just seen in local news paper Dominic Blizzard is available on a free as out of contract at Stockport. Decent Strong central midfielder gets up & down the pitch well, & gets his fair share of goals. HCDAJFU

LOL Tim think your drinking far to much coffee mate. I'd wait a couple of weeks & get a bright new shiny one to go (hopefully) with are bright new shiny club.

Right see your point & Scudamore's which is fair enough. But any reason it cant be kept quite until the deal is complete, surely they can do the check & announce it at that time?
-
I understand what your saying Saintbletch but at this stage I would have thought he is eminently sensible to keep a buffer between himself & the fans until the ink is dried on the contract & all money owing is paid, could you imagine the back lash on here if for no fault of there own it goes t*ts up in a fortnight's time(pray it doesn't). As for the right & proper person check surely the F.A can be given his/her name in confidence a private check done & a yes / no on his status as a right & proper person given in said confidence. Maybe an announcement as to identity when the ink's dried. Seems to me that this consortium are behaving in a right & proper business manner to which were just not used to at this club, long may it continue.

Read this last night when Pi**ed so didn't post, re-read this morning & It makes interesting reading & offers hope for the first time in what seems a lifetime. I do feel very optimistic for the future, I temper that with caution as it's not signed sealed & delivered yet. I also urge caution & over-reaction over where we will be in three years. Lets not forget it takes time to build a team & a Squad which is what we need to do, as from what I've seen we have very few players at the club right know as a main core to start the re-building from. hopefully within 3-weeks the Club will pick itself of the floor & start moving forward however long it may take, lets be thankful we have HOPE for the future again, reserve rejoicing for when the deal is signed. So I raise a glass & offer my thanks all involved in the hard work at Pinnacle + Le-God & the mystery backer & keep up the pressure till the deal is complete, I will then breath a huge sigh of relief & celebrate.

Excellent post Tim some great memories there. The 83/84 season you elude to was so near to being perfect, the 5th round Tie at Farton Carp was so awesome what a great season. I can still remenber looking out of my sisters 4th floor flat in Overdell Court at the age of 10 when she went to Uni in Soton & seeing an empty Dell & I was hooked from then on, still can't explain it to this day but it just gripped me end of. Today's news will hopefully give many more people the same chance to be gripped as I & many other of us so obviously have been in the past. I look forward to many more happy days to come.

Tisdale has done an excellent job at Exeter & would be a good choice, I'd also be happy with Ince as he is proven at this level. I would also like to throw into the discussion another who has blossomed over 3 years at Stockport County, Jim Gannon took over with them staring conference football in the face at Christmas kept them up broke the all time league record at the time of 9 wins on the trot without conceding a goal & then got them promoted in the play offs last year. He has a the right philosophy as how football should be played & built a really good squad over those 3 years at County before he had to start selling his best players due to finance. He promoted a footballing style of play throughout the club (with some success) from a sound platform of a strong defence to quick mobile forward line. Given time I see know reason why he couldn't do it again for us. But as I say would be happy to see any of the above mentioned, just thought I'd throw another name in as not many on here may know to much about him.

Been out for tea at the club just got in heard it on sky sports news seems really positive, will just be glad to have a team to support next year, anything else will be icing on the cake. Would be nice if we had some real money behind us but I am happy to be still alive & prepared for us to have to build for a brighter future. COYR

If proved to be true then I have no sympathy, & he will get all he deserves. We all know the dangers of drink driving & what the consequences can be thankfully its not more serious & nobody has been injured. Hope you sort yourself out Claus, for yourself & your family

Whilst the Solent news on the surface seems bad, is it just a case of brinkmanship? Fry trying to push pinnacle into blinking first. and/or pressuring any other bidders sitting on the fence to make a move? God I wish we could get some positive news for a change.

Not in favour of KK. He seems to be a fair weather manager when he's got money to spend & its all going his way its fine but as soon as he has to actually manage a difficult situation he walks away so not for me. Also would accept Wotte if he stays but I think it would be better for a clean sweep. Ince would be my 1st choice as he's done the buisness at this level, Dragged Macclesfield up from almost certain relegation & got MK dons promoted. my only concern with ince is would he be off at the first oppertunity?

Will it never end

Watched a lot of Stockport County this year & on the whole most of the teams have tried to play football, there are a lot of big strong athletic teams who bullied Stockport out of games the 2nd half of the season. You need to be able to mix it up with some Football & also a more direct Quick game & I don't just mean hoofing it playing the channels in behind the defences. Stockport were 1 dimensional this year with Gannon insisting that they played keep ball & possession football. 1st half of the season it worked as the teams came out & tried to play open football leaving plenty of room for the passing game to thrive, but once they'd sussed them out 2nd half of the season they sat back & let County play in there own half & pressed them on the ball till it was lost & then hit them on the break. So from what I've seen of Saints on the box so far this year we just don't have the physical presence needed at this level, you have to have the ability to tough it out & then hopefully we will be a better team & able to then impose our football on them.
-
This could mean more trouble for Stockport The BIG BAD TAX MAN http://www.stockport.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=145711 as I thought they were close to the wall earlier in the season & days from going to the wall as they owed about 1/2 a million to HMRC. But they sold Pilkington & McNulty & paid about £250.000 off & had an agreement to pay more, but seeing this on Vital football looks like they could be in for more trouble, will they get a CVA??? possible bigger points deduction next season if & when they come out of Administration.
-
Yes Agree with what you've posted it didn't matter what the outcome of this season we were going to get a significant punishment whatever happened. Now I for one as my brother in law is a County season ticket holder hope they get away with it, as I don't want to see another club in our plight. But I am going to question what the stupid old Duffers at the Football League think there playing at. Come you TOP_HAT Mawhinney get your F**king rules sorted out. Note that they even have it on the Coca Cola League Site http://www.football-league.co.uk/page/News/LeagueOneNewsDetail/0,,10794~1644278,00.html

Saints 2-2 Burnley Post Match Reaction - Saints Relegated
Under Weststand replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
What a disappointing second half. We put ourselves in a good position once again & then shot ourselves in the foot. All went wrong with that penalty miss and the team then went to pieces. End of the day we are just not good enough & got what we deserved. We have no leaders on or off the pitch clear evidence we need a clean sweep throughout the club. and unless we get an owner that can give us a chance to trade a few players in, with a -10 start next year we will struggle with this shower of sh**e. -
Disappointing scenes at SMS fans throwing things at each other same the players didn't show the same fight.
