As far as I remember, it was pushed as a positive story: we almost gave up on him, but now he's coming good. The only reason I remember (or imagine ) this is because every time I've seen his name mentioned since, I always think that he's supposed to be on the fringes of the team as we almost threw him out... I really wish someone could support this story

I'm 99% sure I've seen footage from the Saints youth teams (maybe a couple of years ago) where they explained that we were close to letting Rowe go. If I remember correctly, he was given a last chance to prove that he was mentally up for the task of being a pro footballer, but it's quite hazy for me. Can anyone confirm that this is not just a product of my imagination?

Agree with Dig Dog; it's either Mauricio, Pochettino or Supreme Being (or any combination of the three). Jay Rod is also borderline criminal because of the A-Rod connotation... I suggest the mods legislate retrospectively on this one: make a search for the use of M0 P0 and ban all that have used it on here at any time...

I agree - of course the first choices will get more games, but it's not either/or; all four should get enough games to keep them happy. I hope they will keep us happy in the process

On the Danish footy site I use, everyone is very complimentary towards Rickie - several comment that he must have been kept in a time capsule from the 80's as he encompasses everything a traditional English forward is about.
