  1. Well it’s still the position he played his best football from. Suits all the cruyff turns etc It’s understandable why he wasn’t used there at Liverpool at least
  2. Why are you so sure he won’t play there .. it was absolutely his best position before he left us He might not have been used there much after cos of mane etc . regarding being as good defensively as stu I just think Armstrong did at least have a engine
  3. It’s kind of a position we don’t really need too .. if he’s gonna play left wing at least ..we have Fraser and two promising ones in edozie and sulemana .. not sure he offers enough defensively to play play in the Stuart Armstrong role
  4. Wow you must be watching a differant che to me ., really can’t think of him ever finessing a shot into the top corner or scoring anything but low scruffy shots or bundle ins .. he scores the type of goals you would expect jack Stephens to score if you played him up front .. and also not very good with his head either for the type of player he is .. Whoever ends up with him as their first choice striker in the premier league will be a relegation contender .. hope it isn’t us
  5. Can’t believe people are serious about keeping che .. woeful striker who needs 4-5 sitters to score a goal .. Only goals he can score are close range scuffs and bundle ins surely we don’t sign up to more of this shit 🤬
  6. May have won trophies.. but he undoubtedly was having his best football with us .. At Liverpool really he was more of a squad player not one of their main men like mane personally I don’t see being a squad option as a good move
  7. I doubt he gives two shits about putting things right .. more likely just using his old connection with the club to get his foot in the door for coaching
  8. Club seem to have some weird infatuation of bringing back academy players at the end of the careers .this feels very similar to Walcott coming back only this time with a part coaching role .. i loved lallana as a player but to bring him back now just feels Meh to me.. as a player can see him having about as much impact as Theo did and as a coach I’ve got no idea
  9. Anywhere to get a current shirt before Saturday doesn’t have to be official one .. next day delivery preferably??
  10. Knowing us we will prob go all out for the next city youth keeper
  11. Think it’s more a realisation thread that if we had a normal keeper that saved shots in goal we would probably have done a lot better and maybe gone up automatically ..
  12. See the northern lights more often
  13. Wait a minute ! Bazunu makes saves ?
  14. Absolutely would have .. forgot what it’s like to have a keeper making good saves .. McCarthy made two great stops that bazunu wouldn’t have
  15. McCarthy made at least two saves bazunu would never have stopped
  16. The joys of having a real goal keeper in goal .. we lose that game if bazunu was playing
  17. Never a fan of the stripes .. boring design that mostly look the same, and makes us look like all the others like stoke, Sheffield united ,Sunderland, Brentford . id rather we ran With the xerox or This years one permanenty. Gives us more identity
  18. Yes exactly. Rasiak was the kind of player you wouldn’t notice all game but give him a chance he was clinical .. I don’t mind a striker like this at all much better then having a Adams’ type that fucks up 7 chances out of ten yet had good hold up play
  19. He’s a better finisher then Adams .. so I guess it depends what you want from your striker .. I’d hundred percent rather chances fell to Mara then Che..
  20. Wow he’s taking some flak in here .. I’d still like to give him more of a chance .. sure his end product had been poor but his appearances have mainly been off the bench since injury ... a player that can beat their man as easily as he can could certainly turn this round and become a weapon the
  21. What’s wrong with warnock ? He has 8 promotions under his belt don’t you think that would potentially have given us s much better shot at promotion then a dude with 80 percent possession stats and a couple of mid table finishes .,
  22. To put it in a fair way if we came into the playoffs off the back of the unbeaten streak we would probably all be happy enough .. during that unbeaten run I think most of us thought russ has cracked it, that it took time to get the team playing his way and now it was paying dividends .. problem is that run of form seems a million miles away now ,, we would be lucky to go 2 matches unbeaten at the minute even against poor sides .. we have not been good in the big games at all either .. the whole thing looks completely inevitable now and for me I’d absolutely try to make the change now rather then wasting this play off opportunity
  23. Why would it be silly ? if we keep him for the play offs we are writing off this season absolutely no chance we are winning the play offs with Him in charge .. surely it’s worth trying someone else with the reward of premiership football at stake .. We have a decent squad but russ is getting nothing out of them .. this isn’t bad luck now and isn’t going to change unless we do something about it
  24. The strange thing is how did he manage to take us on a 25 match unbeaten run ? since the run ended we don’t even look average anymore, we are struggling against everybody at the moment. Momentum And form seems at the worst it’s been all season.... as it stands it seems a total waste to let him stay for the playoffs.. we haven’t got a cat in hells chance of winning the playoffs in our current form. make the change now and maybe we get a new manager bounce that can take us through the playoffs
  25. The point your missing is that we got exactly what research would have told you we would have got when appointing Martin .. When we where looking at candidates for the job the only selling point Martin had was the possession stats and style of his football there was no success and nothing else so yes i absolutely think his appointment was based on that if we was instead looking for a manager with multiple promotions you could have gone for a Neil warnock type but that’s no where near hipster enough for us
