I don't think we will be buying an expensive midfielder when clasie has obviously been brought in for this reason. If we do bring in another as back up to clasie and vic it's unlikely to be a wow signing imo

Boom what a signing! So happy I've been hyping clasie to friends for over a year so great to see him sign, Really think clasie can turn into a amazing player he's got tenacity and superb deep playmaking skills. For the fee this is an amazing bit of business. ps best wishes to the feyenoord fans who seem a really nice bunch and have seemed to adopt saints as a second team.

Well let's just say I think Cedric is the only signing we have made that goes straight into the first team. The rest are just strengthening the squad. Juanmi could be a good signing but he is in competition with mane jrod long and tadic imo so doesn't really strengthen the first eleven. I'm majorly excited by any of our signings so far are you ?

Over the past few years we have been signing players in the 8-15m pound range i think this has worked well for us and has helped us improve season upon season, although its not big money compared to what the top 6 spend i think it has helped build a squad that the stokes and crystal palaces of the world cant compete with. This summers transfers so far do seem to lack ambition though Stekelenberg filler until forster returns Cedric portuguese international full back ,replacement for clyne, possible bargain Juanmi , whilst again looking to have some potential it looks tough for him to break into a front 3 made up of jay-rod pelle mane, i believe tadic will probably be infront of him too ,squad player? Cuco martina, more filler to provide cover across the whole back line ,not rated highly by dutch followers. The above bunch doesnt really look the type of signings that will help us kick on from last year obviously things can still change if we use the schneiderlin money to make some exciting signings like clasie,or we somehow manage to pull off the toby deal, but so far i think its been quite a underwhelming transfer window and our signings look more the type that a lower premiership team would be making then a top ten club .

Not on the level of cazorla dribbling wise but can shimmy past a player, he also has great awareness on the ball a bit like Xavi and can twist and turn to always give himself time on the ball, Top of my wish list is clasie really really hope we get him

I still feel gaston is a top talent have always liked him as a player, started very brightly under Adkins but once Adkins left he found himself as a big part player under pochetino. Basically poch fancied jay rod and lallana over gaston and its not easy to be a world beater when in and out of the side with sub appearances you can ask falcao. It's a shame he gets tarred with the same brush as Osvaldo I honestly believe if he got the same amount of starts as a Steven Davis or ward prouse he would cream them stats wise!

Agree with a lot of that regarding Elia, he does have flashes of the Ronaldo/Ronaldinho type dribbling ability thought he looked very good in the games against Newcastle Man Utd and Swansea. Biggest problems for me is like you say he does dwell on the ball a bit and slow the play down sometimes trying to be clever only to waste the opportunity, also think he needs to impose himself a bit more in the game as he tends to hug the wing a lot which can make him invisible at times. I'd like to see him stay

Agree with S-Clarke.The replacements we have been linked with look of a decent standard especially clasie who I think will be a upgrade from Morgan in a creative way.

Swansea offloading Michu for 4 million. Could be quite a bargain if he could produce the form of his first season in the pl.

Koeman did say in a Dutch interview that if Morgan leaves clasie would be on our list of replacements

Think around 13 million euros was the asking price. Doesn't seem to much to spend if we are definitely losing Morgan we bid close to that for kryzowiak also

His movement looks great judging by MLG's video of holland vs spain, very pacy looks to play on shoulder and finds space well. I must say though it might be hard for him to get a good run in the first team, i expect we will play with a front 3 of jrod pelle and mane theres also tadic to think about who was fantastic at the start of last season and whos form dipped mostly due to playing through injury and also shane long. Juanmi does add more depth to our frontline though and with the europa league schedule will be a usefull player

Don't think this guy looks that impressive from the YouTube clips. Looks more lightweight then djuricic without the flair.
