Thomas tuchel sounds like the type of appointment we would make,i like what i read about him,BUT at this moment in time a big name would be a massive statement of intent from the board,we need to know the ambition didnt go out the window when cortese left. A big name like a mancini or possibley ranieri and to a lesser extent koeman would make players like adam think twice about jumping ship and really give the fanbase a lift.

Laudrup would have been my number 1 for the job, plays our type of football so wouldnt miss mp, and unearthed some diamonds in the transfer market like michu, bony,pozuelo.

I actually suggested we get hernandez in return in the luke shaw thread a couple of weeks ago, think it would make it much easier to swallow actually getting some one decent in return instead of penny pinching and buying championship players. Hernandez would be just the ticket,pacy finisher who would probably of hit 20 a season if atarting first choice every week for utd.

Yeah thats a good point, although it would give hernandez a chance to be first choice striker not just a bit part sub. I still think bringing in a top striker this season should be a priority rickie was looking far too slow last year, and i hope we dont forget about this issue if having to replace outgoing players.

If we are to let shaw go, i think we should insist on hernandez and money. This would severely soften the blow for me as we would know we were getting a great player in a position we need and not just pocketing or spunking the cash. How would u guys feel towards hernandez and 10 million for shaw

100 percent id have him back, absolutely visionary chairman who took us from rock bottom to dreaming about europe in the space of 5 years.losing him is much worse then losing lallana or shaw.

Cant quite believe how much grief nc gets from the fanbase. Lets not forget it was him that talked marcus into buying the club and he only agreed to this if nc would run it, If nc hadnt had this idea we would probably be slumming it out with pompey. He was a cracking chairman too delivered pretty much everything he promised from the promotions to the southampton way playing style and keeping with the academy approach. Plus every mangerial decision he made worked out and the ambition was rubbing off at everybody involved in the club. All i read on here is him getting trashed all the time and loads of love for big kat who has effectively done nothing bar inheriting a football club she had no part in.

I think so much depends on the ambition of the board, lallana and schneiderlin have basically came out in interviews and said they would like to stay as long as we push on. Basically if the board can say to pochettino we are not going to sell key players unless you say so and sell it to him that they want to improve last years finish and push for europe we could keep him adz and shaw. If we dont and one goes i think we could see the domino effect and the other players will know we have no ambition and it could very well explode. We knew cortese was a ambitious man, perhaps this is his reason for leaving that the club was not going to match his ambitions so he thought ive taken this club as far as it will go. Yeah sorry was just counting starts, Controversial opinion here but i think if osvaldo played as many games as rickie this season he would have been more prolific. When dani was starting we were messing around with the formation to accomodate him and lambert and it wasnt working. I dont think hes a bad player it just didnt work out due to lack of run in the side,and silly suspensions and attitude

Osvaldo scored 3 goals in 9 games giving him a 1 in 3 strikerate. One thing ill say about him gaston and lamela is none have them had a decent run in there sides. Players need games to be on top form

I hope he stays, some of his play is great first touch technique etc.at the moment i think if we let him go the only loser is us, with lambert looking like he might be on the downward spiral lately i was really looking forward to dani coming back. My reason is i see cortese as the saviour of the club when we were at our lowest. Without his idea we could of been another pompey case. Im pretty angry because i see this as corteses project, it was he who talked marcus into buying the club,came up with the master plan guided us through two promotions, and made the right decisions with what managers and staff to bring in, granted it wasnt his money but boy i bet he wishes he had done this differant now. Kl on the other hand is just someone who has fortunately had a great project of someone elses money and hard work fall into her lap and can now do what the hell she wants with it . Thank you Nicola you took us from the lowest point in my time of being a fan and transformed us into a top ten side in such a short period. Its just a shame the owners ambition didnt match yours or europe would have been a very realistic oppurtunity. Ps please come back and buy us

I ve always been one of the biggest supporters of ramirez but i dont just see it as he as somehow amazingly improved,its more a case of mp and others.seeming to be blind to what he offers, hes always been a creative player. And will always create more chances then the likes of cork davis and rodriguez, nice to see a few waking up and smelling the coffee especially our manager!

Just been watchin the valencia game feghouli looks a cracking player some great runs inteligent play and good goal. Also another couple of players we were linked with: pedro piatti. Looks very nippy low centre of gravity good dribbler doesnt always make right decisions but looks like he could be a handfull on his day,he also scored Most interestingly though ever banega is being kept out of the side at the minute by parejo, so maybe. What is wrong with some people? This season ramirez 5 starts in all competitions 3 goals. Last season 20 games 5 goals 3 assists. Dont let the stats get in the way of your silly rants though. Obviously he must be rubbish because hes not been starting?

Im really starting to like your posts roger, you are seeing things the way they are. What is the guy supposed to do if the manager is not selecting him? How can people really be that disapointed in him? If you look back at his assists and goals per start his record is pretty decent. I think he is much better player then rodriguez personaly,he has better technique better eye for a pass better shot and is infinitely more skillfull,rodriguez offers workrate pace but not a lot else his touch and shooting technique is lame and he only really scores toe poke finishes,he loses the ball just as much as gaston if not more but only gaston gets criticized. This really winds me up
