Oh and was surprised Lovren wasn't sent off for that 'tackle'. -
Post Match Reaction: Crystal Palace 0-1 SAINTS

Very very solid performance against a tough tackling team that really tried their hardest to get something from the match. Sort of match we'd normally buckle and concede, so very pleased we got something out of it. Surprises today; 1. Our passing was well below our usual standard 2. Ince - unaware today of what the fuss is about 3. We only scored 1 Very pleased. Jay MoTD for the goal. -
Gerrard was immense - one of the best players! All the Liverpool players were good and you could tell they are high on confidence and bang on form. Add Lallana and Shaw (also bang on form and high on confidence) and you had a really good recipe. Sterling will be some player. I don't know how much QPR got for him at the age of 17, but it wasn't enough!!

+1 Agree wholeheartedly

Why? The "Liverpool lads" are second in the league and absolutely flying. Wouldn't beat against them pulling a sly one off and winning their first league since before Souness dismantled a very very good team. Our lads are great, but to compare the two sets is a little weird. I would have liked to have seen Shaw start though. I think we'll see Lallana for the second 45 and perhaps Jay for 10 mins.

Couldn't care less now. We're definitely finishing 9th. Champions League, Europe League, FA Cup, Relegation battles, who needs it. We can finish 9th and be safe.
-
Lukaku, Benteke, Michu, Remy. All players that we should push the boat out for if we really want to push on. Although there are bound to be European players that will crop up that I'm not aware of - any of those 4 would finish the amount of chances that we create!
-
Yep, agreed. And for the benefit of others; I love our youth policy, it is amazing, but the fact that we are trying to push them on so much is concerning - the odd player in the team who is 17/18/19, far enough, but not loads of them. It almost feels a bit like the "Dutch Duo" all over again at times. We really need a couple of quality signings if we were to push on (Striker, centre back, goalie/back up goalie) which can supplement our youth policy and help them grow as players. But if we are to also push on as a club, we need a mix that is higher in ratio of quality signings.

England call up FOUR Saints players

And you don't need to leave Saints to get in the squad ... -
Is that just for one post and one gate?? That is a lot! One of my fences in my new house blew down and I did the lot again with concrete posts - 12x 6'x6' panels, 13x 8' concrete posts, with concrete boards at the bottom cost me £1500 - done in two days, brilliant job and good value too compared to some of the other quotes I got round me (in Fleet).
-
Totally agree! But that's the trouble with the internet - a selection of odd people who just want to wind others up and those, who would still be moaning if we won every week and were top of the league.

Would You Care If Pochettino Left Tommorow?

Yes, you complete f**king helmet. What is it with you and prats like Glasgow Saint constantly typing such drivel. Get out of your bedsits. -
There are so many faults with many of those maps, however they are entertaining all the same.

I've seen some rubbish that 7th may be enough for Europa League qualification depending on other results (i.e. Man City winning the League Cup, Arsenal the FA cup etc etc etc). Reading this; http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans/faqs/who-qualifies-to-play-in-europe/ - it appears that 6th would realistically be the lowest place on offer, unless the FA Cup Final is Arsenal vs Man City and they both finish in the top 4. Assuming Man City win the League Cup ... "Should the FA Cup winners, runners-up (if applicable) and the Football League Cup winners already have qualified for Europe, their place goes to the next best placed clubs in the Premier League."

South West Trains slammed for treatment of pregnant woman
Patrick Bateman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
Unfortunately yes. I have a senior enough position that requires me to "show my face" - also I need to keep an eye on my own team and micro-manage them to death (joking of course). However I have introduced some remote collaboration tools and am trying to drag some of them kicking and screaming in to this century. It's my choice to live in the lovely Hampshire countryside and commute in, but doesn't stop me moaning about it as you'll see on Twitter -
South West Trains slammed for treatment of pregnant woman
Patrick Bateman replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Lounge
Fleet to Waterloo, normally around 0740. 1st class. I gave in, can't stand the tiny seats and over-crowding. I get on, take a more spacious seat and read or work in more peace and with space. Additionally I can turn back up to Waterloo and dive on a train knowing I can sit down - it's well worth the additional premium. If the majority of commuters weren't so self-centered and weird, it would be a pleasure to travel. I don't know what happens to people but they get all odd when commuting, like it's only them that exist. I have told my fair share of people what I think of them and I can well imagine a pregnant woman getting a delayed and busy train and everyone being too self-centered to give up a seat. I also bet she didn't ask though and just expected to sit in 1st class. In fairness to the guards here, if they applied that rule for free 1st class to one person, then they'd have to do it for all. I actually see a large portion of pregnant women in 1st class who have upgraded - good idea, especially as the normal seats are small and they'd only get some other rude moron tutting at them for taking up too much room, after all, how dare they be pregnant and invade their seat space that is far too small in the first place. God, commuting. ARGH! -

- On the toilet at about 4am in Corvinteto in Budapest (best club in Budapest, I love that place, but no idea why I was on my phone, looking at you lot and your drivel then) - Watching a the sunset in a bar on stilts over the sea in the Maldives this summer (of all the things I could be doing, I logged in here to check the Sunderland home match in August - and it was my birthday) So neither unusual, just odd. -
Commercialisation and the impact on Saints Fans
Patrick Bateman replied to YoursGuly's topic in The Saints
Likewise. I felt the questions were too directional without giving me a chance to offer more feedback. If people don't object, you'd be better off pasting the questions in this thread and letting everyone answer within the thread and maybe offer a couple of new questions aimed at getting more qualitative feedback. I was struggling to see what analysis you could garner over and above the quantitative "90% of fans felt matches were too expensive now compared to the 1970s" - you need some control measures as well, such as not only finding out their ages, but when they first experienced certain situations - I don't think I saw that? But I genuinely think it'd help you more if you asked and got people to respond directly in this thread. -
I hope you are taking the **** and seeking a bite? If not, that is seriously retarded thinking. A day out (and hopefully a win at Wembley) vs finishing 1 or 2 places higher ... jesus christ.
-
The one that was sent off this weekend for a bit of a tussle? Hmmm. Unless he blows the the league away (after his suspension), we are well rid in the summer.
-
If (for example) we caved in and sold Shaw for £30m. Stoke would also cave in for £xxm for Shawcross, especially if we're targeting a higher league position next year. Market forces, any player is up for sale, any. Okay Chelsea after this weekend might take £300m for Hazard, but you know what I'm saying.

Cherno Samba? Just what we needed today I think, the original FM "wonder kid".

Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?

That is the most bizarre product review I've seen. What about if you need a poo, does it unzip at the back too?
