  1. Yeah must have been that one - we stayed up (god knows how) and I hugged the bloke. Odd.
  2. I had a weird "wonder what he did next?" moment about Jermaine Wright. I remember running on the pitch, hugging him (I was f**king smashed) and telling him "you're a f**king legend" ... His reply with a fair element of surprise; "Really??" Had nothing against the guy, but I think it was more of a cult hero kind of thing as he was the scapegoat of the day. Although I never actually thought he was the worst on the pitch. Anyway, that's it.
  3. Urgh, seriously?? I'd rather not wash my hands and/or use my jeans to dry than use those grim towels ... oh, you said paper towels, sorry, I first read that as "towels" thinking you meant the cloth pull towel thing. I've no idea why I'm still typing, but I am going to keep typing and press "post reply" anyway. Go me.
  4. Sorry fella, but having met Viking Warrior numerous times at the football back in the Dell days, I would go with his judgement more than many others on here. Peace out.
  5. Is he any good anyway?? Has he managed a club long enough to prove himself? Other than having a group of "managers" in Drogba, Terry and Lampard help him win the Champions League!? Am I being too harsh on him?
  6. Maybe they noticed that Jesus Perez has been doing more of the videos and interviews recently
  7. That list is written by someone trying to be different. Portland? I've been there, it's not good and certainly not a patch on Seattle. I hated Marseille and Rotterdam. Liverpool still does absolutely nothing for me either.
  8. That would explain why he a) has so much time to post bullsh*t all the time and b) is such a bitter, weird, prat.
  9. Out of all of them; Martin is the one player I though would have been able to learn and kick on. We're not exactly blessed with young centre backs, so I was surprised by his "exclusion". The others not so. Although saying that, I just checked and he's the same age as Dejan . . . . . .
  10. I do as well. I've said for years that certain drugs could be properly manufactured, under strictly licensed conditions and then sold officially and taxed (as per alcohol, nicotine, caffeine) - if manufacturing of it was to strict guidelines, there is no reason why you couldn't buy weed or MDMA (maybe even others like coke) officially. I think you'd have to draw the line at really hardcore drugs though?? It'd stop a lot of crime (from importing, to dealing, to stealing to pay for is) - maybe that's my naive view, but I do believe that. It's about time the world got modern though. Weed in this country would be a great starting point. Although not a lover of the stuff myself, I have a couple of friends who smoke shed loads of the stuff, probably in comparable amounts to the amount of alcohol I consume. So what's the difference?
  11. Couldn't agree more mate. I really hope we don't move away from the city centre, the experience would be horrendous on a match day - nothing better than jumping off the train, having a few beers in pubs on the way to the ground then getting to the ground easily and quickly. The whole "away from the town centre" experience is sh*t and I'm thankful we never got the ground at Stoneham for that reason!
  12. Shut up, get out of your bedsit and get a life you dull repetitive pr*t.
  13. Couldn't agree more. The nutter at the back bossing the defence and the tank in front of them looking after them. Had Wanyama been playing, that third goal wouldn't have been, simple as that. It's not the players fault, not the manager's fault; we are just missing two of our biggest players. I have to add that even Lovren looks worse without Wanyama helping out. (and that's not a dig at Lovren)
  14. Whilst I can agree with the sentiment that "we would never get £8m for a 32 year old so we should bite their arm off", deep down I think it would tear most Saints fans apart to see him scoring for West Ham. It certainly would do me. I actually don't care if he's not quite as mobile. He still has a role to play on and off the pitch and overall he does still add something to the club. I hope that he retires/goes in to coaching with Saints.
  15. F**king boring unfunny pr*ck.
  16. He's ('Glasgow Saint') as funny as death. F**king boring pr*ck.
  17. Does anyone actually know where Osvaldo has gone to? I presume he's the player with "personal problems"? Was good to see Ramirez looking a) up for it and b) scoring a cracking goal!
  18. I think I must have watched at least 4 (maybe 5 now) films on exactly the same subject in recent years. Each with a different perspective, but each coming to same conclusion that the driver (forgotten his name, it wasn't Rolfe I don't think, he was the one trying to get in on it, but was a bit inept) was full of sh*t and not to be trusted. But your opinion isn't a bad one - could well be the case and why no one really knows what happened; apart from the super grass who got paid off and (presumably) given a new life elsewhere in the end. In terms of the films I've seen, all are good, but Rise of the Footsoldier is by far the best as it's the most polished with the best 'story' as it doesn't just centre around the shootings. Plus it's the only one I've watched over and over.
  19. Isn't it just an unfunny version of Bearsy's style?
  20. Half and half scarf? I do hope so, I'll be wearing my Manchester United and Liverpool one.
  21. Shut up you f*cking stupid boring skate pr*ck.
  22. What a stupid post. One is a very young goalkeeper who is learning his trade, is third choice and unluckily for us is the best we've got at the moment. The other two got us promoted and are pretty good as back-up squad players - again at the moment, we just happen to have to play both of them due to injuries which is unfortunate. Shaw is learning from Fox too, so he does have a role (see his recent interview). Some "fans" are so short-sighted.
  23. In all seriousness, would you take a few million (how much, £15m?) and Bertrand? We wouldn't be in a much worse position. Go ahead, get flaming.
  24. Really? I thought he was lightweight, gave the ball away numerous times, doesn't have the pace to close down and he doesn't look like he has the energy to do much at all. Such a shame, expected (and wanted) brilliant things from him and I'm usually over optimistic but I do feel his talent lies elsewhere - probably in Spain. He'll be great there.
  25. On a non-Saints note, what happened to Middlesbrough? I know Gibson was pumping his own money in for years when they had Juninho, Emerson, Ravenelli etc., but they now seem to be doing what everyone else is doing and being sensible. I know they get bugger all fans, but did he run out of money!?
