Hagiology Books Back in the Club Shop!
Patrick Bateman replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Nah, "queen" would have been funnier. You fail at t'interweb warz. Great news though Duncan, I know it's a big win for you and all these small things (parking, book in the shop, Benali, players on loan etc.), bit by bit, indicate that the owner and new directorship really do have the best interest of the fans and club at heart - in my humble opinion anyway. -
No. Just no. Love the guy, great manager in his achievements for us in getting promoted, but it would be a massive step backwards in tactics.

Talks between Poch and SFC Leadership
Patrick Bateman replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Adkins would have done it with Danny Ings, Steve Guppy, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Sam Vokes, Wade Elliot, Andrew Surman, Wayne Bridge, Sam Sodje and Craig Mackail-Smith. In fact, we'd be in Europe with that lot, playing 4-4-2 with wingers, if this forum were to be believed. -
Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?

But it's nothing like Liverpool's. Their's is blood red and ALL red (red shirts, red shorts, red socks). -
Saints long term deal with adidas to be terminated?

I agree, as sad as it sounds, when I see Stoke and Sunderland in their stripes with black shorts - it just looks a bit duff. Old fashioned, "messy" and naff. I actually like the all red with a splash of white - not that I ever wear the shirts, but just better to watch. I've never been a stripes fan anyway. New phrase for the marketing team; "Be smart, be Saints smart". (That's why I don't work in marketing) -
Mental decision to "part company" with Laudrup ... but whatever floats their boat. However, how the hell is Gary Monk old enough to manage a club? That's the most offensive thing, that's made me feel ancient - more so than Beattie managing. B*gger.

I'm obviously alone in that I think Fulham may pull out of it. They've made a couple of astute signings and moved on some of the trouble (Berbatov). They have a manager who wants to learn and is technical and I just think they may scrape through. Cardiff look rubbish. I would have said they'd have stayed up under Malkay, but not OGS - weird team. Norwich also look rubbish and just don't seem to perform as a team 3rd sport for me ... West Ham, Fulham, Stoke, Palace, West Brom (one from that lot, in that order) We shall see!

Agree totally. This season (last 6 weeks especially) he has had some really bad matches, but he also looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Saturday, he looked a different player second half - as has been said, like a whole weight has been lifted!!
-
Yes, we all know that. However he simply shouldn't have started today as .... shock .... he was not fit. He was puffing and blowing after 10 minutes, Cork should have started and that second half performance would have come earlier had he started! Fact.
-
Opinion; he's f*cking brilliant. Awesome engine, tough tackling, solid and for his age, very good. However today, he was w*nk. Just simply out of match practise.
-
Exactly. You weren't there, so you didn't see. He was utter w*nk. Horrible in the first half. Both Turkish and I commented how he was puffing and blowing after the first 10 minutes - made the difference when Cork came on.

Why pay players we're not going to play? What a waste of money, a lot of money, millions of pounds. This money could therefore be spent in the summer. Some of our fans are a bit thick. We are theoretically safe now and we get any injuries we have some backup and plenty of young players to give a go to - it's really not going to hurt us this season to give these guys a chance as and when we need to. People bleating on about Osvaldo; yes, the guy has undoubted talent, but he score 3 goals for us and missed half the season so far due to mystery injuries and suspension. He's a clown. Had he scored 14 goals so far then yes, I'm sure we'd be correct in being more concerned. Jesus H.
-
Could not agree more with you! He's actually a top bloke, really nice guy, well liked and did a great job in helping us get where we are now. He was also happy to be backup and Shaw obviously liked him and learned from his experience. Hope Forest works out for him.

"At age seven, Konoplyanka signed up for a karate class, which he did simultaneously with football, eventually reaching black belt" Do we want someone to finish the job properly next time there's a scrap on the training ground? Eric Cantona, flying sidekick, look forward to it!

Genius - we have to have this!
-
Looks like it's sold out - I've just logged in to take a look and there are plenty of tickets in the home ends, but the neutral zone is sold out or not available to buy online?
-
Agree with most so far. Definitely 2 points dropped - Arsenal scored one very good goal and one goal we should have prevented and we should have punished them more up front. Gallagher was very good and offered something we've been missing in a fast striker. I really do like Chambers too, especially today - but I think the one thing he needs to improve on is not going that one step/man too far and looking for the right pass earlier. Morgan was MoTM for me - immense, everywhere, bossed the midfield. Fonte, Lallana, Shaw all excellent too, in fact, harsh to really call out anyone as poor tonight. Great match - really enjoyed it, but didn't think I'd be that frustrated that we could have beaten Arsenal (fairly easily) at home!
-
LOL, brilliant!!
-
To be fair, it was that boring Barry spack going on about how good Norwich's signings were and to be fair to him, I think a fair few people expected RVW especially to be pretty good in this league. But Norwich are cack.

The Toure / "Davis" song ... Katherine, Katherine Katherine, Katherine Katherine, Katherine Liebherr. Markus, Markus Markus, Markus Markus, Markus Liebherr. Katherine, Katherine Katherine, Katherine Katherine, Katherine Liebherr. At 2000 miles per hour, with hand gestures, followed by clap clap clap clap, we hate Pompey.

FA Cup 5th round draw thread (Sunderland Away)
Patrick Bateman replied to rickylambert's topic in The Saints
Brighton or Charlton home or away please. This Chelsea - Stoke match is INCREDIBLY dull. No atmosphere either, zzzzz -
You have to laugh - yet another thread / discussion point on here becomes a short piece of newspaper content within a couple of days ...

The guy obviously wants out. He's being a div. How about "I'm sorry guys, really sorry, I've been an utter helmet, let me make it up to you on the pitch by giving the performances of my life to help us all". No, some random pic of an a*se and "this is all the love that counts".
-
Yes you do. He's mentioned on this thread. HTH!
