Mornin' all. I've just put the bottles out, and not milk bottles. 🙂 I'm not voting in the MOTM poll as it just wouldn't be fair. Don't normally wear such stuff out of the house but today I'm wearing my Saints hoody, courtesy of my season ticket voucher. What a shame not to be there last night, particularly after my last wet Friday match and the miserable journey home on the train.. Has anybody done a summary of the results we want for the rest of the weekend??

I think the observations were that he didn't seem at 100%, which would seem reasonable. From just the issue of match fitness I was surprised he lasted so long, but if your body has been fighting an infection it's best not to overdo it. But at least we have options now which is a far better position to be in.

That was what I was pondering too. I didn't think Armstrong was 100% on Sunday and giving his body a chance might be a wise idea.

I'm not sure I can afford Saints playing like this as I watched down the pub and had more than usual... In control, and although I was twitchy once or twice (I've supported Saints for a very long time) in the end I was relaxed and thought I'd support my local pub with another pint - even had to point out they'd missed off the last one when I asked to pay my tab. There was so much slick passing going on. Even though I don't understand Redmond being MoM either he did, like everyone else, work his socks off. The sort of game we really missed watching live..

Initially I was of the second opinion, but then I realised it was deliberate and probably under instruction - JWP also had the opportunity to cross. As it was we still managed another chance and when it came to the Chelsea goal kick it was after the extra time period was up.

I've always thought you post a lot of merde but think you're on the mark with this one. It's good to see the recent proposals by Liverpool and Manchester United being turned down by the other clubs: basically showing that they don't trust them. The proposals, in the longer term, are really not for the general good of football. We really don't want a Bayern or Juventus situation; far better to be able to have the sort of result Aston Villa achieved the other day, or Leicester the otrher season, to the delight I reckon of every neutral football fan.
