  1. ..best let them know..
  2. I'm with tajjuk on this. Anybody who has had the chance to play alongside better players than them will know it makes them play better. As he's homegrown does he count in our squad? Give him an opportunity and then sell in January if the management don't think he'll make it.
  3. I think this summarises my view too. I think he's had a couple of growth spurts, once when he was on loan and not sure how that (or his family issue) impacted on him, but he's got the speed and height, even if not quite the touch. He's the sort of player who given a decent delivery would score headers against our full backs. :-)
  4. A pre-season friendly against Sligo as part of the deal would make a great excuse for a trip to Ireland. Pack the fishing rod and whistle and a bit of footie and Beamish, so go on Saints, make it happen.
  5. Is that the one saying how many assits [sic] he's made?
  6. I see Harley Davidson are moving some production abroad due to Trump instigated trade wars. Best buy your current stocks of Jim Beam before they too go up in price.
  7. Really, I'm sure I haven't mentioned it since last season, and this thread, if it's anything, is all about continuity and recurrent themes! :->> If you really want the detail I play very little, off the bench. Would you like more detail? I'm not up to Heisenberg's or CB Fry's level of tiresomeness, or even, dare I say it The9s when it comes to all things to do with shirts, which is where we came in. But if I'm feeling stroppy I'm sure I can go completely OT and be as irrelevant to the topic as the rest of you are much of the time.
  8. "Any old parks team" Oi, no need to be so disparaging! :-) By the time we've put on our sponsors logo, our team badge, numbers, Hampshire FA patch, etc, they end up expensive. My best friend doesn't even like football but I managed to persuade her to be the shirt sponsor before she really understood how much it would cost. Fortunately she's still smiling and talking to me..
  9. Eh? He's 26. Now if you'd said Steven Davis was in physical decline I'd sadly agree. As others have said lets hope he's a replacement for Davis and not Tadic.
  10. I think that is an eminently sensible summary of some of the influences on his decision making. Perhaps he knows in himself that he is slowing down a bit too much for the hurly-burly of the premiership. I'd like him to stay for another season mind..
  11. Maggot..
  12. You may have been joking but it's still a strawman argument.
  13. Really? I can't say I've ever commented much on any of your threads. But I meant what I said when I commented that on seeing your name I tended to correctly predict to myself your point of view. Perhaps you should wonder why that is? I'm sure you can. Actually that phrase, plausible deniability, by buctootim is one I have seen before when talking about the alt-right, and it struck me that it fits you to a T. Or as Shakespeare would have it "The lady doth protest too much, methinks". Anyway, I hope you don't feel too passive aggressively offended if I hack off and leave you guys to debate the indefensible.
  14. Speak for yourself, don't presume to speak for others.
  15. Sorry dear, just giving you my opinion. Others have already posted more detail. I'll pipe up when I want to, thanks, but you really aren't worth the effort chasing around the board pointing out your reactionary views and attitudes whenever they appear. Thanks for the avatar info sadoldgit. I tend to ignore all the alt-right crap, as they mostly seem to be pretty sad specimens and deeply unattractive on every level.
  16. I'd have to say that I couldn't have listed that detail, and indeed didn't know that was an alt-right avatar, but I have to say when I see some thread titles I immediately know that hypochondriac will post and the views he will espouse. It's uncanny! :-) Claiming he's not right wing made me chuckle out loud.
  17. I suspect they do ask lots of questions, but if they didn't then bid you'd be the first to be drivelling away about the board "not trying" or being "unambitious". I appreciate we have some bi-polar people on here who swing between being negative and very negative but what do you get out of it all? Do you masochistically quite enjoy being thought of by most people on this board as a drivelling wazzock?
  18. How do you know that? I don't remember any announcement. Either way, thank goodness, I can just about cope with you, as long as CB Fry, hypochondriac and batman aren't on the same thread..
  19. That's a very positive view and thanks for taking the time to write it and post it here. You're probably like us with Harrison Reed in wanting him to do well, and if we do some sort of deal on the two I imagine both sets of fans would be reasonably happy?
  20. Bloomin' 'eck. Doesn't time fly when you're a Saints fan.. (I was going to say "enjoying yourself", but this _is_ a Saints football forum..).
  21. Dam you Whitey, I was just going to write that! ;-)
  22. Whitey, at Copacabana beach?! Are you sure you're heart is up to all the sights? :-)
  23. I know! They should have gone down to the National League, like Luton.
  24. Did you have to post that? :-) In remembering their goal I'd forgotten all our good chances.
