Is Katarina becoming a football fan ?
Cascadia Saint replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
If you were going to use the family silver, you may just polish it too. -
"We are just papering over the cracks at the moment, waiting for the season to come to an end." Replace the word season with the word club, and this describes everything since the FU cup 'win'. And maybe even a couple of years before it.

Gaston for Davis was a deliberate change of attacking style. I would go as far as calling it a plan b, but he looked pretty good for the time he was on.

Lambert ' desperate' to join west ham

Not so far, and it's been a week. Probably on account of it being bo llox. Hufton's post sounds about right, in which case I'm glad cortese ****ed off. -
Haha!! You were doing so well! You had to go and bring Glenda into the sense you've been talking all week. Cheeky little scamp.

Yeah! And resign from life!

Yeah? Well tell him that this forum is now angry that he is still angry about those that are angry. This disrespect has to stop.

Or just do as the OP appears to do and become a stoke fan. No sewing required.

Cheers nostradamus.

Saintsweb - Forum - Southampton Football Club - The Saints Maybe you could learn something? Like where to put posts on Stoke...

By jove, I think you're onto something.

I think it's safest that every team in the country gets another crack at the cup. We should redo the entire competition. Next year, maybe.
-
Then you are a better man than I.
-
Haha! If only it was that simple. Football is anything but logical.
-
So it's just dawned on you that you no longer see a point in supporting Southampton or watching football. That's pretty sad.

I hear you, and I was plenty ****ed off myself that we threw away a great opportunity to progress. I'm just really surprised at the sheer amount of 'I'm done with this season / this manager / saints in general' posts, and am interested in what those posters truly expect to get from a premier league season.

Top post. It's true, what happened to enjoying individual games? This talk of 'raised expectations' to Top 4 levels from Cortese after 1 season in the prem is ridiculous. If it's champions league or nothing then people have a screw loose.
-
Just wondering. If we had put out an unchanged full strength squad and still lost, would everyone still be calling the season quits with 12 games to go? Are we so used to relegation battles and latterly promotions, that we have no idea how to enjoy being mid-table? What about the individual games? Surely if they don't have an appeal then it's kind of pointless watching football? We knew we were punching above our weight with a thin squad when we were in the top 4. If we'd have gone out of both cups to a Man City at the first hurdle, what would people be doing for the second half of the season?

Poch's history lesson....as per the Echo

Er... That's football. We are in a league. You have 1st place, some European spots, and 3 relegation spots. That's it. Are you going to give up watching for the rest of the season every February, if we are comfortably mid table and safe? -

Exactly. 'Traditionally great cup team' my arse.
