Cracking cross from Clyne.
-
Yesh!!!
-
Exactly. We don't see him on the training field, we actually haven't seen him for a ****ing age. And he would have been hard pressed to save either of the goals on sunday. As always, it may take more than preconceptions to actual assess the situation. Let's see how he plays tonight.
-
Exactly.

Top post. Out of sight, certain posters out of their minds it seems. I still have no real clue in the long term what exactly Gaston can do for us, as we have seen so little, but I fail to understand the vitriol unleashed by certain posters on here.
-
Fair play mr trousers, what I really mean is once resurrected why are people so ****ish about him. Although I have no idea why I would be surprised by this or asking at all here...
-
Yeah! What an arsehole JWP is. 19 years old and a complete waste of space. Oh wait. That's you.
-
Why is this resurrected? We know all about Billy Sharp's good and bad points, and he helped us get promoted. Why the continued prodding and poking? It seems a bit ****ish to me. Good lad, heart in the right place, maybe playing in the right place now.
-
We play like us, Palace play like palace. Discuss.

Morgan / Tactical explanation of Pochettino's tactics
Cascadia Saint replied to benali-shorts's topic in The Saints
You're a lazy bastard. And can't be arsed to read a decent article about your team. -
Oh definitely, I didn't believe them for a second!
-
Exactly. So much of the squad is crap. It amazes me when the Southampton lads describe training with England as a 'step up', and being surrounded by 'quality players'. How much better can it be than training at Saints? And there's no way in hell the training itself is anywhere near ours.
-
Well, they linked up nicely at the substitution. Switching positions smoothly, almost telepathic understanding as Rickie ran onto the pitch and Adam dropped into the gap on the bench.
-
For Lallana, of course. Arse.
-
Might have been nice to have Lambert on for that corner FFS. And can probably defend better than this lot, too.

http://www.football365.com/news/21554/9028090/Dalglish-Additions-are-crucial Kenny Dalglish is getting in on the act too: "We are not yet a third of the way through the season, but we are not far off and it is getting to the point where we have to take the claims of Southampton and Liverpool seriously. "Nobody really considered either of them - especially the Saints - legitimate contenders for a top-four place this season. "But they are reaping the benefits of not having to adapt to a new manager, as many of the leading clubs are having to do. "It has got to the stage now where, if they buy in January, I think both might have a real chance of staying up there." I know it's ridiculous, but no-one looks 100% convincing at all in the prem, not Arsenal or anyone. One game at a time, wins against teams below us and a good go at the top teams might keep us at nosebleed level for a while.

I know injuries played their part, but it was a pretty sharp drop after 1998 for sure.
-
I can't believe I just read that. I watched MLT score that hat-trick in the pub behind the dell, clutching the captains armband in his hand as he leathered the second goal. So did Hoddle. Not from the pub, obviously. What a moron.

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-0 Fulham
Cascadia Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That was a joy to watch. Totally outclassed Fulham, who I was honestly embarrassed for throughout the game. You can see the difference that work rate, team spirit, a clear game plan and style of playing - and some technically gifted players gets you. Add to that the fact of how young the team is, and it really is something to be impressed by. It's happening, at least for now. And we will soon be a quarter of the way into the season. -
Genuinely happy for you mate! Did the honesty approach work?
-
It's font, eh?
-
We're not west ham. We are doing what we did last season, mixing long balls with movement forward through the middle and down the wings. We can do both, but people don't want to see it.
