I can't believe I just read that. I watched MLT score that hat-trick in the pub behind the dell, clutching the captains armband in his hand as he leathered the second goal. So did Hoddle. Not from the pub, obviously. What a moron.

That was a joy to watch. Totally outclassed Fulham, who I was honestly embarrassed for throughout the game. You can see the difference that work rate, team spirit, a clear game plan and style of playing - and some technically gifted players gets you. Add to that the fact of how young the team is, and it really is something to be impressed by. It's happening, at least for now. And we will soon be a quarter of the way into the season.
