  1. Interesting thread though, I think one way to look at it is who from the 2002-2003 squad would get in our current squad. Niemi in the team for sure. I'd have Beatts in the squad. Bridge as backup for Shaw. EDIT - How the **** did i forget to add Killer? He would have to be ahead of Fonte. And I think Fernandes in that year's form would make the squad, as would Claus. Anybody else though?
  2. Star hen. I keep getting images of WGS doing a post match interview dressed in something like this.
  3. Giant smile on my face watching that. Awesome.
  4. Haha! Perfect. I see Alpine couldn't even get off the bench.
  5. Has to be Rodgers. Like Glasgow just said, there was no way last year you'd expect them to be playing this well and being worthy champions (if that happens). Great management, planning and an emphasis on youth. Which I find encouraging for Saints, depending on how we handle this summer. 2nd and 3rd for me would be Pulis and Martinez. Both squeezing every last drop of potential out of their squads through excellent management. Of which I am vaguely envious, as if we could squeeze every last drop of potential out of our squad - and sign a backup keeper, we would be up there with Everton. Hopefully we get a chance to try next year with a full reinforced squad.
  6. Uh-oh. Now it's fallen down the muppet hole, how will he find his precious thread?
  7. Adam's been subbed a fair bit this season, makes his distance even more impressive!
  8. Haha! You're whining about posts that haven't even been made now? Those 4 posters in 15 minutes that separate your post from his totally underline whatever point it is you're trying to make.
  9. It probably has more to do with your patronising tone, and the sanctimonious way you have wandered in here and started prodding away at people and subjects you don't understand, like a kid studying bugs. You tell us you love AFL and you're not switching 'codes'. You call Football soccer. You question our intelligence when you don't receive 'serious answers' from users of an internet forum? Did you happen to glance through a few threads before you posted? Have you ever been on the internet before? What were you expecting when after 29 replies and 12 hours you start insulting people? You're a member of the Southampton Overseas Supporters, when you don't like 'soccer' and you know nothing about the club? This makes you special somehow? Are you also a member of the Portsmouth equivalent? You're an odd one, that's for sure. And who says fictional characters have to have their names capitalised?
  10. Your fine points are just wasted i'm afraid. It's simply pointless to bother saying these things. He doesn't care. About you, about what you have to say, about Saints, and about reality.
  11. We must leave instructions for future generations to talk to ozpom333 upon his return...
  12. As our squad / team stands this season, on how important they are to the team... (injuries aside) 1. Boruc 2. Schneiderlin 3. Lallana 4. Lovren 5. Cork / Wanyama 6. Lambert 7. J-Rod 8. Shaw 9. Fonte 10. Chambers / Clyne 11. Davis 12. Ward-Prowse 13. Ramirez 14. Yoshida 15. Hooiveld 16. Davies 17. Gallagher 18. Guly / Reed / Isgrove 100. Gazza. Definitely harder than expected to rank them!
  13. Definitely. Twice as many tickets for him to buy.
  14. Go to the Lounge and read your way through the Pompey takeover thread. Then come back and ask any questions you may still have.
  15. Simply disgusting. 'Massively milking' your 'tenuous link'? To peaches? At work? Hope you get sacked.
  16. Just saw the news now, gutted for Jay. I still don't think he would've made Hodgson's final squad though, although I'm sure he would've been in the 30. He's had a great season and was in a really amazing run of form recently, but I still think the World Cup was coming a touch too soon. I always got the impression Hodgson was desperately trying to work out how he could take him ahead of Wellbeck. I think it took a while for him to really get a handle on how Jay plays and what he does for the team. Hodgson has watched Saints play so often recently though, that I think he eventually got a real understanding of how Jay works - especially alongside Lallana and Lambert. Obviously the injury is going to hold up his progress a bit, but I always felt like Euro 2016 would be a more likely shout for Jay if he continued improving at the rate he was doing. He's young and hopefully can come through his recovery strongly and emerge with no lasting damage, at the next world cup he should be in his prime. Get well soon Jay!
  17. You finally ran out of question marks? Or did you just wander off mid sentence?
  18. How is that remotely realistic? Honest question.
  19. Its a great point.
