  1. My Saints dressing gown is not very fluffy any more. This is probably because we have had a procession of absolute showers running the club.
  2. Here's a left field thought. We're really close to a deal and will announce it just before the game against Burnley, and in time to get more people buying tickets and push for the unlikely home win. Hence the silence. And then I woke up.
  3. I'm mystified why this is not a perfectly legitimate use of taxpayers money in terms of the economic regeneration of the said taxpayers' city. Could you explain why it is not to me? Thanks.
  4. oh boo bloody hoo.
  5. But...but...we have a catering service that is the envy of the country. And..er...Alan Shearer used to play for us. Er... Er... That's it.
  6. whatever happened to the council buying the stadium?
  7. Nice idea but actually if fear that that would probably recoup about £0 and we'd have no interested parties.
  8. Have we missed something? What new owners?
  9. A reprieve! Of sorts.
  10. I'm struggling to see why anyone would want to invest in Saints, sadly. Fearing the worst.
  11. Has Skacel signed yet?
  12. Aargh! I'm turning into Steve McLaren!
  13. 'Oh no! I forgot to learn anything at all about football. What a shilly mishtake. It will take a miracle now. For me to get paid.'
  14. Christ this is getting desperate. We'll be hoping for ineligible players next. Still, didn't stop Birmingham in that win against us, did it?
  15. Why the long face?
  16. Or 'Rotting Hell'. sorry
  17. Perhaps it was Richard Curtis buying Saints in order to film a comedy about management decisions... (4 weddings and a funeral)
  18. PS Billy Davies. Those of us wanting him at ours were right. Instils discipline and knows how to work this league. Two things obviously not on Rupert's list. His one reads: 'cheap'?
  19. Not going to happen as our players are all bottling out for fear of affecting their dream moves to Pompey, or in DMG's case, Forest. Real issue is having a club at all, which must be diminishing as the price drops ever lower based on League One and points deduction (our luck is so shiite that this is bound to happen). Pretty bleak. And my bet on Pompey to go down is looking rubbish too. They got rid of their ineffective manager at the right time - NB Rupert 'very low IQ' Lowe. Bye Saints.
  20. 'the degradation duel against Charlton Athletic' They got that right.
  21. Are there indoor cross country tracks too, then?
  22. yes, just before he started on you.
  23. JP: 'It's a shame Davis never comes off his line and gifted Wolves their first goal against us'.
  24. I really don't understand why tax payers money cannot be used for something that is clearly an economic generator for the people who pay such taxes and in order to preserve something that materially affects the standing of the city and its lure for other investment. What's the bloody problem?
  25. I would be most keen to get assurances in the small print of this buyout that on no condition should the council be allowed to rent out the club to certain other clubs in the area! Someone should ask the council to stamp out any possibility whatsoever of a ground share with Portsmouth. Other than that I can only see good in this arrangement. Retail would also be a good addition in close proximity to the stadium, perhaps with somewhere good to eat.
