Closest game of the season for me. Ordered my two on New Year's Eve. A nice short train journey for me rather than the five hour return drive to St Mary's! Also had an invite to go in the Villa social club before the game for a pint!

Absolutely. A great round of applause from the crowd. I can't remember the last time I stood up to applaud an opposing player off the pitch.

A great performance today. We could and should have won. Everyone played well and a great atmosphere. Weren't the Arsenal fans shocking? I left the ground slightly disappointed we didn't win but tremendously proud. If we continue our improvement we will have no problem staying up. I chose Davis as MOM simply because it was his best performance so far. And a shame for the own goal for Guly. More ammunition for his hate brigade. He played well.

What a shame for Forest. He is dire. Both sets of locals round my way hate him.

Argument. Who's arguing? Rugby is a harder sport played by harder men. You can't possibly dispute that? Week in week out I watch people getting properly hurt playing rugby but they get up and carry on. Football is played by overpaid prima donnas trying to con the ref at every opportunity.

I will agree with that. The bloke needs a serious ban for a dangerous act.

This is hilarious. As well as a season ticket at Saints I also have one at Cardiff Blues rugby. Now rugby is a sport where you may risk your life but football? What a joke.

I was driving to a wedding in Leicester and nearly crashed when he scored. I was in smug mode all day!

The booing was awful. Well done to the fans who tried to get behind him. What possible good could booing him do? I don't rate him but would never boo anyone wearing the shirt. And he did well today. I would have loved his effort to have gone in the top corner.

Shaw was superb but I have gone for Fonte. He has improved exponentionally this season.

I remember it well. I seem to recall a buzz of excitement when he came on.
