Maybe so, but an agent can't have any involvement in the running or financing of a club. It is 100% illegal. But as you say its all pie in the sky anyway, as are 99.9% of rumors on forums.
-
Or even homosexual.
-
I can honestly say that if this is true, then that will be it for me with regards to supporting Saints any longer.
-
No it won't be him as its illegal for an agent to be involved in the running of a club.
-
Pretty embarrassing to read to be honest.
-
Agree, couldn't give a toss about Saga. I started a thread a couple of weeks ago questioning him and asking why he seems to avoid any criticism, and was greeted with a few choice words.
-
Blake didn't deserve a yellow card. He genuinely slipped up and there was no intent whatsoever to foul JP.
-
Totally agree. Crouch should learn when to shut up. Yes I appreciate the money he has put into the club, but he has NO involvement in the club anymore and I would far rather hear comments from Fry than Crouch who I hold partly accountable for our current situation.

I realised what I wrote wasn't too clear....I mean the Football League stumble across something and contact the relevant authorities

I will never ever be able to understand how we have got to this situation and will never be able to put into words my feelings towards those 100% incompetent c*nts who have supposedly been running the club. With any luck the Football League will find something with which to charge every one of them with gross negligence.

I can guarantee that if the fans get control of the club we will be in administration again by this time next year. We have seen it all before at Bournemouth, and the fans getting involved there was one of the worst things that could have happened to them.

What are Saints players current transfer values
saint_ed replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
Of course but Lallana is worth far more than £200,000 and Surman is widely regarded as one of the better young midfielder's in the Championship. Can't people see that his confidence is low which is why is has struggled the last few months. It really isn't rocket science. -

I'd say you've got it about right. -

How can you suggest that Lallana and Surman are worth only that. I can assure you that we have received offers totalling over £1.2million for both. -
Good shout Charlie. I personally have given him a lot of stick but the past couple of months he has vastly improved. I still have some doubts regarding his positional sense however but he is regularly sweeping up behind Perry and Saeijs.
-
Well to be fair to him he was doing ALL the running up front as Euell may as well have not been on the pitch. There was no effort from him at all and Bradley had his best game for us for a long time. He made intelligent runs into the channels. Incidently it was this that gave us more joy in the second half from McGoldrick. He was breaking out of midfield while the full backs played the ball down the like. Huge credit should go to Lallana and McGoldrick today IMO.
-
To be fair, I don't give a toss where he is....nowhere near good enough to compete at this level. Another waste of money alongside Pulis, Gasmi and I would now also be tempted to add Schneiderlin to that list.

I totally agree that we have a poor, uncreative midfield, but I have seen a distinct drop in effort from Saga in the last few games, at a time when we need everyone working twice as hard. I could be starting a similar thread about every single player in the squad, but I have done it for Saga because I know he is more capable of producing goals out of nothing then anyone else in the squad. We need SOMEBODY to score otherwise we haven't got a hope in hell and it frustrates me how Saga is immune from any slight criticism. When he first came back from Aalborg, he was like a man possessed, and as a result was in the right places, putting defenders under pressure and scoring goals out of nothing (volley from outside the area, lob over keeper - forgotten the opposition). This is what I know he is capable of, which is why I have an issue with his effort in the past 3 or 4 games.
-
I'd FAR rather be in the position we are in now, then be going to local parks to watch a pretend version of Saints. It would cost far more, and potentially take a lifetime to get an AFC Southampton even to League 1. We currently have a large stadium, fan base, good academy and SOME talented players. I know who I'd rather support. Supporting an AFC Southampton would be like supporting a team at the other end of the country, I would feel no affinity towards them.
-
But he made no effort and showed no intelligence in his runs. There is more to a strikers role than just receiving good service. Why should he be immune to criticism?!
-
I would totally agree about Lallana, as I have said before, I will lose no sleep when he leaves the club this summer. He is incapable of playing in any position apart from in the hole. That lack of adaptability and positional discipline will ultimately hold him back in his career. I'm still keen for Ryan Smith to be given his chance on a consistent basis as I can see the potential for him to be an effective player when he has some confidence. It is very hard for a player to come into a squad in our position and shine, but he is arguably one of the few direct players we possess who when he receives the ball tries to beat his man.
-
I don't see why people consistently praise and think he can do no wrong. He is far too inconsistent. When he is on song he is a valuable asset, however he disappears out of games and shows a distinct lack of effort far too often for my liking. I hate to be defeatist, but I really can't see how we can stay up this season. All our strikers look incapable of scoring or showing any attacking nous, and our defense look incapable of keeping any clean sheets. I would be surprised if we get any more than 5 points for the rest of the season and we will ultimately finish 2nd bottom come the end of the season. Yet another fresh start next season I suppose.....

Yeah, good idea....*rollyeyes*. Get a grip people. Yes we are now sh!t, but I would far rather support this team that a bunch of proper amateurs like Eastleigh or Salisbury etc who I have absolutely no feelings for whatsoever. Southampton is our club and always should be. I can honestly say that if Southampton folded I would never be able to support another club for as long as I live. We will NOT fold. There is every chance we will be out of the top 2 divisions for the foreseeable future, but at least its still Southampton, the red and white stripes who we have supported all these years. Face up to the fact we are a very poor side now, that's life.
