Well thats a bit naive really. The Football League will know all they have to do is stick to their guns on Monday and they will get their own way.

I'm pretty convinced that the League wanted to impose a further points penalty on us, and as widely speculated, we have accepted a compromise (10 points deduction and no appeal).

Maybe because the Swiss are actually doing things professionally, and in that i mean aren't talking to ITK'ers on this forum.

+1. Be patient for christ sake. You are of no importance whatsoever in the grand scheme of things so why should anyone break a promise just to please you because you can't wait a little longer.

I think people are being a little too cynical here. I understand the reasons why one may wish to remain anonymous, so lets just be patient. I'm sure we will know by the end of play tomorrow.

And Davis. FWIW Bradley would be an excellent player in League 1 with the right management.

And herein lies the crux of our problem. Someone is going to have to budge and unfortunately I just don't see this happening unless a compromise is reached. -10 deduction with no appeal is the most likely compromise, however I am yet to be convinced that pinnacle will agree to this.

What a suprise...the FL were never going to budge, and I fear neither will Pinnacle. Tony, I admire your determination, but you will gain more respect for going ahead with this than letting this be the deal breaking which will see the club fall into the wrong hands, worse still, see it fold. You promote the fact you want the right people back in charge of the club....YOU are those right group of people so please consider the bigger picture. There is no shame in accepting that the league have screwed us over but let's put it to bed and move on.

Well we shall see. Perhaps its my disillusion of our circumstances and continued disappointment but I just cant see how the takeover will go through unless we take the deduction.

The Football League will never back down over this. They know that it would set a precedent for other clubs to take them on.

My message to Tony is please do whatever it takes to ensure that this takeover can go ahead. We finally have an opportunity to have a management TEAM who are all pulling together for the greater good of Southampton FC. If this means taking the 10 point deduction then so be it. Please do not let this be the difference between us surviving and us going down the drain.
