He was awful against Charlton. I think a rest will do him no harm at all. Bradley deserved his chance.
-
Yeah....just like Delia Smith eh If she wants to plough money into us then fine, but as long as she isn't anywhere near football matters
-
Looks like something the Soviet army would wear....horrible.
-
Sorry but what a load of rubbish. Ryan Smith was our most effective player for the short time he was on yesterday. People give him far too much stick without allowing him to have a proper run in the side. He was also our best player against Man Utd in the cup game. People should try and lay off Smith and focus their criticism on the likes of Lallana who despite having featured for most of the season has been awful for the past 3 months or so. He has no positional sense, jumps out of tackles and gives the ball away far to easily. I won't lose any sleep when he leaves.

Used to live pretty much next door to her. Would be very surprised if she had any interest in taking us over.
-
Agreed.
-
Hardly a turn up, Motson is a senile muppet.
-
No, he couldn't. Unless you are already preempting relegation to League 1 and League 2.
-
Waiting to see if we stay up.
-
Good response, and may I also add that its DJ Campbell, not Campbells.
-
You are correct, our defence has been greatly improved....the comment was a little tongue in cheek
-
Precisely. People need to look at the facts before following the lead of many of the muppets we have supporting this club. Surman has had 2 off games, aside from that he has been arguably our best player all season, and contributing the most by way of goals and assists. (See the FACTS!). It's unfortunate that up until a couple of weeks ago our defence didn't look capable of conceding less than 3 goals per game.
-
As low as minus 10k....how is that even possible?
-
Yeah I remember seeing that. Shame our defenders couldn't put their foot through the ball and get it clear like that.
-
I'm pretty sure he is still injured.
-
Thomson doesn't challenge either and is not a defender, so why would he play right back. I would have big concerns about our chances if he starts at RB against Blackpool.
-
Yep we are sid.....some people hear other people criticizing a player and straight away assume they should as well at the earliest opportunity. No wonder he missed it with the pressure that some of our so called fans are uneccessarily putting him under.
-
Absolute bloody rubbish. By that I assume the only games you have attended all season are the last two matches. He has earned us far more points than he has lost us, so get off his back and try actually supporting him.
-
Absolutely. Sums it up perfectly.
-
Thomson playing right back is suicide IMO.

I see people continue to jump on the band wagon. Why don't people start using their own brain for once (if they have one) and start looking at the bigger picture a little. Are you too blinkered to see that his confidence is shot to pieces and the last thing he needs is a bunch of *****s booing him every time he makes a mistake. He has scored some key goals for us this season so to suggest he has cost us 4 points is quite frankly plain stupidity. Also, as someone else has said, the pass was intended for Euell who scuffed his shot, as he did for the one on one 2 minutes into the game. And for the bloke in the chapel who decided to shout a load of abuse at Surman after his miss.....thanks for covering the rest of us in spit....d!ck.
-
Totally agree. He was having a very poor game and could benefit from a rest.
-
I was also sat right behind the goal, and I disagree totally with your assessment. As many have said, it was a good chance at best but by no means a sitter. Amazing how opinions vary.

So Beckham wants to buy a British Football Club?
saint_ed replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
No he isn't. This is pure speculation due to one of Beckham's former advisors involved in a consortium looking at Orient. Beckham is not a part of that group in any way. -
Yeah I agree he had a shocker, but its no surprise when people get on his back after a couple of miss placed passes. Some tit behind me never stops bloody moaning and my frustration from that has now spilled onto here regarding my defence of Surman. I would like to see the pass by McGoldrick again, but it was right in front of me and the first thing I remember thinking was he had put far too much pace on the pass. I don't deny that Surman should have hit the target, however chastising him for the miss isn't going to do anyone, particularly him any good in the lead up to what is arguably 4 of the most important games in our history.
