JP has done better in terms of wins with this young team than Pearson (who I liked as a manager) managed with an arguably better squad. Say what you will about JP, I don't think there's any evidence to suggest Pearson would be doing better right now.

Is she just laughing at the thought of fleecing him of his 1/2 a million quid take-home pay then?

I don't believe Suzi is to be involved in the F1 coverage StL, some Lee woman is pencilled in. As for the MotoGP, what with the time difference and the fact the Championship is over already, I can't believe the Beeb raked in many viewers for the live show.

I used to marshall the bike racing at Thruxton. Loved it. My favourite races to marshall were the vintage bikes, as they were always breaking down or spewing their fluids everywhere. More than once we had a rider pull over asking if we had a screwdriver or a 1/2" AF spanner. Great days.

At the start of the season we virtually all declared that we'd be happy to survive this year by winning a few at home and picking up the odd point away. That's exactly how it's panning out at the moment, we are not in the danger zone and we're picking points up here and there. I think the last couple of wins have given us all a false expectation, because if someone had offered us 6 points from the last three games every one of us would have said "Thank you very much." We're a young side and not a particularly good side, but we have been seen to be improving and will hopefully continue to do so. All of us knew this season of pretty football would not actually be pretty but if the season finished today we'd still be in the CCC. Let's get some perspective.

Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose.

I suppose the only brightside is that they haven't completely collapsed. Other than that, garbage.

I think MB starts the best threads on SWF.

I can't afford to start chopping threads. I need something to read.

Nirvana? I'm a huge fan of Cobain's work but even I haven't made that association. They sound nothing like them and don't appear to be making the effort to.

Looking at that pic, I think she's suffered enough.

It's because you're a valued member of Stu's internet community. It speaks volumes that I haven't received one.

Don't be a dinlo.

Ours is also 8 years old, we've had it a year, and it's done 67k (just over 25k since we got it). It's the 2.0 Zetec model; I don't know if that's the same as yours but the engine pulls quite well.
-
I'd be surprised if it's something else. Our old Mondeo passed its MOT on Tuesday, after a couple of new front springs were fitted anyway. Ours doesn't get anything like a service and does 25k+ a year.

I'm reliably informed that "Our troops in Afghanistan" did in fact supply this. So there you go.

Ah, if only. Actually, this IS the duplicate thread, but I wanted to make a point on it so I didn't delete it.

I bet it's the new Cat mate. They take some burning to start functioning properly. Obviously it's no problem on new cars as they go three years without an emissions test, but a month, especially a month at reasonable mileage, won't be long enough to get it working as it should. Go out, give it some serious beans, high revving in every gear, and then a long blast on the motorway. That will help.

If "Our troops in Afghanistan" wrote that I'll eat my metaphorical hat.
