Talking ****** as usual, he played Long on his own before he gave Austin a run. Who gives a **** what ‘uproar’ there would have been, a manager is paid to pick the right players not pander to the fans.
-
Playing for Tranmere?
-
The atmosphere is bound to make a difference. That was always one of our advantages in our Dell days, we were often down the bottom but the crowd generally stayed with the side because we knew we would always be in that situation. I remember going away to bigger clubs who were also in trouble and being amazed how negative the fans were. It's yet another reason why we should have changed manager, it gives everyone a lift and gets the crowd back onside. For example, if we had brought Strachan back and made a couple of signings there would be nothing but positivity from the stands.
-
You're forgetting that it will be the likes of Bournemouth and Brighton cherry picking our best players if we go down.
-
Agree, it did come across as arrogance, especially coming from a kid who has barely managed a handful of Prem apps so far in his career. I just hope his words came out wrong and that is not the attitude of the players in general.
-
It's impossible to guess what the side will look like without knowing what Gao's intentions are. In theory, with the parachutes and the majority of the VVD money still to come we should be able to field a decent side. If Goa decides to pocket the VVD money and is not interesting in investing we could be in a Sunderland type situation. It obviously also depends on wether the players have relegation clauses in their contracts.
-
As long as he gets picked. Our genius manager has only started him 5 times this season.
-
The Championship is probably Long's level to be fair, he may do a decent job next season. I would be tempted to get Surman back for a swan song if we can, he's not playing every week at Bournemouth, would be a decent captain.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if Reed, Kruger n co just hate working for a bunch of Chinese criminals and are just sat there waiting for a pay off. I guess they are on pretty lucrative contracts and would loose out on a bit of cash by resigning, same goes for the manager.
-
We’re one game from Wembley but I’m lesss confident about us winning the cup than I was in August. We’ve had a host of lucky draws and will get thoroughly dicked by the first decent side we play.
-
It’s home games against anyone outside the top 6 you want and Pellegrino’s ****ed them all up. Away to Newcastle shows up as a nice green blob on that chart but we will do well to get a draw up there, you would take Leicester or Everton at home over that any day. Our one positive is that we are not too ****e on the road but when you HAVE to get wins on the road in this league the odds are stacked against you.
-
Not sure it matters what formation we play with this manager.

Do you think Kat gives a monkeys about ruining her father's legacy

So she’s flogged the club to a Chinese criminal and we are supposed to respect her? -
6 points will be plenty enough to finish above us
-
We’re ****ed. We havn’t beaten a single decent side this season, our only wins have come against teams that have been a complete shambles, and even then only one win was convincing. Sack the Argie **** tomorrow and we might have a slight chance of staying up, keep him and we will finish second bottom.
-
We’ve got a ****ing mountain to climb now looking at those fixtures. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t win another game this season. We need a couple of wins on the road and to beat Bournemouth - just can’t see it happening. I reckon we will get a win and three or four draws max, doubt 35 points will be enough.

Something is not right about this Chinese deal, no one spends £200mill on a club and just watches as it goes down the toilet. -
Just the manager giving one of his mates a pay day. ****ing useless.
-
I can’t see us getting another win this season in the league.
-
We’re down
-
Worrying thing is the first half is usually our good half.
-
But if the ref didn't see the pull then it wasn't a judgement call. VAR did, told the ref, goal rightly disallowed.
-
I disagree, the ref watching VAR had the benefit of slow motion, different angles and replays - he should make the call. I can't believe after years of being on the ****ty end of decisions against big clubs some Saints fans want the one tool that could work in our favour taken away. We could be holding our second major trophy had it been used last year. Once the teething problems are sorted out it will be an excellent addition to the game. Anyway, how did Clattenburg know what the ref saw of the pull by Llorente?
-
Llorente clearly pulled the Rochdale defender causing him to fall over.
-
Many pundits who just want to make a big fuss out of it to make a story - I bet not many refs think the goal should have stood.
