  1. But football has a habit of making mugs out of successful business people. He obviously didn't plan on spending £200mill on a Championship club worth £50-60mill? but that might be what he has done. If that is what he's done what's plan b? Asset strip, cut your losses and leave a shell of a club or chuck more money at it hoping for promotion in a few years time?
  2. Exactly, and thats assuming the club were skint before they sold VVD (very doubtful considering the Sky millions and massive recent sales) and Mr "next level" Gao is not prepared to invest a penny himself to stop his purchase being worth a fraction of what he paid only months ago. £60mill should be a minimum.
  3. Yeah plus that one, That is also 75mill but with add ons. When you factor in our other massive sales recently, the Prem TV money which gives us a competitive advantage over most clubs in Europe, and the fact that we are supposed to have a new owner to "take us to the next level" - we shouldn't have much problem bring in players to improve the side even in a January window.
  4. Indeed. there are only a handful of clubs on the planet that have received a larger transfer fee than what we got for Van Dyke. Barcelona for Neymar Liverpool for Coutinho Borussia Dortmund for Dembélé Juventus for Pogba Spurs for Bale Manchester United for Ronaldo Napoli for Higuaín
  5. Day 17 still naff all, what is it, arrogance or apathy? We ****ing deserve to go down.
  6. Have you been in a coma for the last few weeks or something? You know that Van Dyke fella, we flogged him for 75million quid.
  7. Well that’s our one positive thing all ****ed up already.
  8. Problem is without a billionaire willing to speculate you can’t do it. When the money goes so does the ‘ambition’, it’s pointless moaning about it.
  9. I don’t blame Theo, you would need rocks in your head to take a wage cut and join the mess that is SFC at the moment. Why would anyone sign for a club when the manager is clearly on borrowed time?
  10. That’s the worrying thing. How’s he going to pay back the £200mill bank loan when we are stuck in the Championship? He could easily just asset strip to pay off the debt and leave a right ****ing mess.
  11. I not sure about that, you can have a hundred centre backs but if the two out on the pitch are not good enough you're going down. I'm happy with Yoshida and Stephens as backup but being a couple of injuries away from a Yoshida - Bedranek pairing is not strong enough.
  12. That's what happens when you leave it too late, no-one wants to join a club staring relegation in the face.
  13. His background is relevant though. If he was a lifelong Saints fan, or even someone with some knowledge of the game his comments wouldn’t be quite so irritating. He’s just some kid who happens to have a rich mummy, I don’t see what right he has to tell me I’m being too emotional.
  14. I’m not telling him him or anyone else how to support their club.
  15. I think the most important thing is what Gao decides to do, the quality of manager we get depends entirely on what our financial situation is like and how much Gao is prepared to gamble/invest to get back up. We know very little about the owners and even less about their intentions - if he just decides to asset strip to try and repay his loan we could well end up like Pompey.
  16. I think the atmosphere is going to turn a bit nasty for this one. I expect it will be fine until the second or third Spurs goal then I can see the crowd getting pretty hostile towards the owners, board and manager.
  17. This, I think they actually believe their own PR bull****. Deluded from the top down.
  18. Let’s hope it’s something serious.
  19. Noah should shut the **** up. Having a rich mummy doesn’t give you any right to tell us what to say.
  20. Stephens and Yoshida are OK as backup but we definitely need a replacement for VVD. I don’t expect the club will bother though.
  21. Impossible to say, will totally depend on our financial situation and Mr Gao.
  22. They are bound to have meetings discussing it as it is quite likely now that we’re going down. I expect it will just be to discuss job losses in unimportant departments like marketing. It doesn’t mean the players have accepted it is inevitable.
  23. It tends to be a sign of a good manager when the team improves second half, we do the opposite. If we can’t see out a two goal lead against that shower of ****e what hope do we have?
  24. Get in!! JWP is a ****ing goal machine
  25. No goal threat there at all, dropping Boufal is ****ing nuts, he’s easily our most creative player - I would build the team around him not drop him. Oh well, the negative cloud has long gone, the clown has no excuses now.
