Can any Yorkshire Saints help out Steve Moran?
aintforever replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
It’s crazy that one of the star players in our greatest ever side should be in such a situation when you look at the money in the game today. -
Swearing at SMS .... tolerable or offensive ?
aintforever replied to manina-pub's topic in The Saints
Because jumping up and down because some bloke kicks a ball into a net is a really grown up thing to do. Swearing has always been part of football, long may it continue. -
By that rationale Walcott is an Arsenal product.

Did we really have any intention of buying Promes?
aintforever replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
We should have given Walcott the deadline then and moved on if he chose someone else. It's not rocket science. -

Whatever way you cut it it was a disastrous window. If it was because of Walcott we should have given Arsenal a deadline and moved onto Promes earlier. We knew VVD was leaving way before the window opened and Walcott and Promes are not the only pacey wide players in the World. -
Agree with this, the more abuse the better. Unfortunately football today is too sanitised - full of tourists and happy clappy morons. So I expect they will all get an easy ride.

I was happy with Strachan, His Coventry side got relegated because they flogged their two top scorers (think it was huckerby and McCallister or Dublin), any manager would have struggled to keep them up. That said, his appointment wasn’t that well received, but unlike MP he soon won the fans over.

Looking at the fixtures and we do have the toughest run-in out of all the teams down there but if we can get results against the teams around us away from home (and we look like we could) we stand a half decent chance of staying up. Having only two ‘winnable’ home games left is a pretty **** situation to be in though. I doubt any one else will be as poor as West Brom were at home. We need to get at least 3 wins before we play Arsenal to stand a chance IMO. West Brom have 4 ‘winnable’ home games left but are playing catch up and have a tough run in after those so I can’t see them pulling away wit the form they are in. Swansea, West Ham and Huddersfield all have 5 ‘winnable’ home games left so they are well placed to pick up enough points. Newcastle, Palace and Brighton all only have 3 ‘winnable’ home games left. Brighton have a nightmare last four games (Tottenham Hotspur H, Burnley A, Manchester United H, Liverpool A) so if they are not a few points clear by then they are up against it. Palace have a nightmare run coming up where they play Everton away then 4 of the top 5 so they will probably be up to their necks for the final few games. It’s almost impossible to predict because there are so many 6 pointers and not a lot between the quality of the whole bottom half, plus there are always some freak results. But I would guess at the bottom three being West Brom, Brighton and Newcastle.

Lallana has always had a very punchable face, even when he played for us. I enjoyed watching him play but he did come across as an irritating little scrote.
-
That really bugged me as well, there is no way it would get a mention if it was us involved. Whilst watching Liverpool mess it up was hilarious it was also a bit irritating watching Spurs get decisions that Saints would probably never get at Anfield in similar circumstances.

Do a line Nathaniel Clyne, you will love it more than you will know, wooahhh
-
Van ****, for the way he ponced about not giving a **** for half a season. I would gladly lose with 10 men Sunday if one of our players puts him in hospital.
-
No petulance in rugby, just eye gouging, punching and stamping on heads. Respect.
-
Which Pardew couldn’t get promoted.
-
It’s going to be tough to get enough points from that lot, we are going to have to get at least two more wins on the road. One positive is that three of the last four games are against teams that will probably be safe in the mid-table comfort zone which is the sort of fixtures you want. That’s clutching at straws a bit though because that is a ***** of a run in.
-
Love it, he ****s up against Swansea, now costs them 2 points today.
-
I like to see the players with a bit of fight and it’s good to have players wanting to take free kicks.
-
That doesn’t seem to work for us when our managers choose to go elsewhere.
-
Surely if he wanted to go to Everton he could have just resigned?
-
Great result. Now stop dicking about with the side and keep it the same for the next game.
-
Come on Saints, kill a game off for once
-
That's why we have got only 8 points away from home all season?
-
Net spend over the last 2 season's transfer windows.

Wasn't Portsmouth a limited company? -
With only one of them being at home I don't rate our chances.

To be fair, most people care more about their careers than a bunch of blokes running around a field kicking a ball.
