  1. Burnley haven't won in 8 games so this is a good opportunity for 3 points before we play the other relegation candidates.
  2. Well that’s a distraction we didn’t ****ing need.
  3. Strong side, fair play - it is good to see a manager take the cup seriously. wether its the right thing to do only time will tell.
  4. It's 2005 all over again, a complete disconnect with what you see on the pitch and what you hear coming out the club. All that guff is for the benefit of Gao who clearly understands very little about football. It Hitler's bunker syndrome, just tell him what he wants to hear and hope it all turns out OK because tell him the truth and you get the bullet anyway.
  5. Obviously sacking Puel and gambling on Pellegrino was a massive error but so was failing to invest in attackers during the summer. We had huge problems scoring under Puel and all we did in the summer was sell Jay Rod so we actually went backwards. I don’t even think Puel would have done very well this season either, though no where near as bad as we are. The big picture is the fact that the owners don’t want to spend money like they did and Reed and co have been found out.
  6. That’s clearly nonsense, a good manager makes a massive difference.
  7. Of course the kids don't deserve it, that's obvious. But the Yanks are getting exactly what they vote for, they choose to sell guns to idiots, they know the consequences. They are free to change their laws if they care enough.
  8. I usually agree but we are staring relegation in the face and think it can be a distraction. Not so much the game Saturday but the next round and any replays. Plus there are injuries and suspensions. I was annoyed when Poch blew of the cup games because we were sat mid-table but now it would make sense - we are not going to win anything with crusty the clown in charge - we will get a round or two further then get dicked by the first half decent side we play. As for confidence, putting out the reses didn't do Bournemouth any harm. Howe rested his first XI v Wigan then the beat Arsenal the following match, rested them again for the replay (which they got stuffed in) then the drew away at West Ham, beat Chelsea way and Stoke at home.
  9. I would shove the reserves out for this one, we need the distraction of the cup like a hole in the head at the moment.
  10. Stupid yank ****s get what they deserve.
  11. You are just guessing the opinions of people who didn’t vote, in other words talking ******.
  12. GAO: What is this Rel - ig - ation thing they keep mentioning?
  13. SOME cause for hope but not a lot considering we have only won twice away from home all season and both of them were against the team bottom of the league.
  14. "Oh no we're getting relegated - we're gonna have to give a **** about the fans again."
  15. Had us relegated with 35 points. That’s including wins over Burnley, Stoke and Bournemouth. I’m just not confident about getting enough points on the road. We’ve only won two away games all season and both of those were against the bottom of the league sides. With this clown in charge I don’t see how anything is going to change.
  16. Too many people on massive salaries for doing me t to nothing nowadays. Whilst nurses are using food banks. He’s just typical of a ****ed up society.
  17. Working in International football is still football so it's not like he's been out of the game. It's not rocket science, it's just a bunch of blokes running around a field kicking a ball - he would be fine.
  18. Yup, apart from losing us the game he had a cracker.
  19. He must be on a high though, to be finally working under an actual football manager.
  20. No club has self destructed so spectacularly since West Ham under Glen Roeder. Sack a perfectly good manager then persist with a relative novice for ever, and even make a £50mill profit in transfers during the window whilst sliding down the table. We just have to hope we don't go through the Championship in similar fashion next year.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if Les and Ralph have no interest in working for a Chinese crook like Gao and are just sat there waiting for their contacts to be paid off.
  22. He is a rubbish manager but not replacing Van **** doesn't help. We are a couple of injuries away from a Yoshida - Bednarek CB pairing - that is just ****ing scary.
  23. Usually Hughes is not my choice of manager but in our situation we need someone with experience and stature who knows the Prem inside out, he would be a good fit. Think we have left it too late though, I expect he would look at our fixture list and run a mile. Les' dithering has got us relegated.
  24. Think we’ve left it too late to change manager now, just have to hope Pellegrino can somehow get us enough points.
  25. Not much Saints could do about that, unless of course, it was Les’ dithering that opened the door for Everton? Whatever happened over Walcott doesn’t change the fact that the window was a disaster. A few days into Jan we should have either signed Walcott or moved on to the next target.
