I would get Strachan in just for the hell of it. Give him another crack at the FA Cup.

Thank **** for that!

Another possible reason why the clown is still with us
aintforever replied to Tamesaint's topic in The Saints
They do appear to have an over inflated opinion on how good the squad is though, it wouldn’t surprise me if they thought they could muddle through until the summer and still survive. Josh Sim’s amazingly arrogant “we’re too good to go down” interview the other day showed how deluded they are. -
It’s hard to think of any logical reason why they would relegate the club on purpose, the drop in income is so great it makes no sense financially. We have one of the most expensive squads outside the top 6 so could be in big trouble. I suppose in theory if the players have relegation clauses and take a big wage cut Gao could trouser a decent amount of transfer cash and leave us with the youth team in the Championship, then syphen off the parachute money like the skates owner. Still not sure it adds up tho.

I think they probably have someone lined up for the summer and took a gamble on Pellegrino being able to do enough to keep this squad up. That would explain why they have only spent a fraction of the VVD money, they are saving it for the new guy. -
We’ve left it too late to get anyone like Silva, only people interested will be on the managerial scrap heap. **** it, just get Strachan back, at least we will go down with a fight and have a day out at Wembley with ginger wigs.

Why isn't the Local media putting the pressure on?
aintforever replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
I couldn’t stand Rupert Lowe but he showed more balls then any of the cowards running the club at the moment. -
Nobody got rid of Cortese, he resigned. He jumped ship like all the other rats when Marcus' money dried up and Kat wanted her inheritance.

Think with Lowe it was different because he was just a Chief Exec of a PLC so he needed to keep the press onside whereas now the club is privately owned they can just tell the Echo to F-off at any point. I guess the Echo can't afford to annoy them too much. -

No point planning long term when the effects of relegation are so severe, do whatever it takes to stay up and worry about the long term in the summer. -
It's sad to say I tend to agree. It's weird, we're one game from Wembley and I'm no more optimistic about winning the cup than the start of the season. If we somehow manage to beat Wigan then it will just be an embarrassment at Wembley against Spurs or Chelsea if crusty the clown is still 'managing'.
-
Complacent, arrogant, disinterested - that applies to the board/owners as well as the players.
-
Our run in is a nightmare, if the clown stays I can’t see us getting another win. If he goes and we get someone even half decent there is a chance of two or three wins which may just be enough. If I had to put my house on it I would say we’re down though regardless.

Well any club in Spain would have sacked him months ago, he’s probably as confused as the rest of us as to why he is still in the job.
-
You do get the impression that we will be going down less prepared than last time. Lowe for all his faults did take the threat seriously. It would be nice if Reed or someone could let us know what the situation with regards to contracts and planning, if we do end up like Pompey it’s the fans that suffer after all the tosser players and staff have left to pastures new.
-
No, but hope you do. C*nt
-
Sacking Puel and hiring Pellegrino has to be the worst decision in our history. Lowe hiring Wigley was maybe slightly crazier but at least Lowe did something about it.
-
You would like to think they would all have relegation clauses in their contracts, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t - remember the club were banging on about Champions League not long ago.

If we sack Pellegrino we can still survive
aintforever replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
It will be unforgivable if they don’t act this week. If we go into the Wigan game with the clown still in charge then we all know what will happen, there is literally nothing left to lose by making a change. -
Reed has been handing out massive 5 year contracts like confetti over the past couple of seasons, with that and a very dodgy foreign owner we are seriously risking doing a Pompey. I dread to think what Fraser is on, that’s one player we won’t be able to shift.

They need to act now to give us a chance against Wigan. Probably too late to keep us up but has to be worth a shot. -
I’d be happy to see a few bottles of urine aimed at Reed n co. I seriously doubt any of the mongs in the Itchen stand would have the fight in them though, they can barely muster up a “oh when the Saints”. A few grumbles match day then a strongly worded letter to the Echo is as West Ham as we will get.

Our half-witted fans don't know how lucky they are
aintforever replied to mcbendy's topic in The Saints
He had plenty of criticism because he was a complete bellend, but there was no campaign to get him out, think that’s just in your head. -
Someone on here reckoned Matt Target is on 50k a week. If we get relegated we might be ****ed financially. Administration part 2.

With these Chinese criminals in charge we could easily do a Pompey.
