  1. Les Reed joined the season before we got promoted from League 1 so he played a role on our back-to-back promotions and it's hard to criticise his record up until this season.
  2. Sack Pelligrino, flog VVD and give the new guy a **** load of cash to blow on players who will improve the team now not who might have a resale value in a few years time.
  3. It is complete nonsense. You get the impression some people actually go out of their way to find things to be offended by just to make some point on social media.
  4. Was there a successful example of Swiss ownership before Marcus came along? Wether our owner fails or is a huge success will have nothing to do with what country he was born in.
  5. Yeah, because getting sacked by a big South American club in your second season is a sure sign that you will be a success in the Prem.
  6. Still don’t think it’s a great CV. Yeah he got Alavés to 9th, but he left València 12th and no one gets sacked after 7 months if they are doing a great job. He’s got 5 years experience, sacked twice, won nothing, no promotions, no experience of managing in the Prem. If you don't think that’s a bit of a gamble then you have rocks in your head.
  7. You would maybe give Pellegrino a bit of time if he had a half decent track record but his CV is just poor. Sacked after 7 months at Valencia Sacked after two years at some Argie club 1 season at another Argie club 1 season at Alavés His only achievement was getting to a cup final at Alavés - that involved winning just 4 games, two against lower league opposition and one of the others on penalties. So he basically won one game against La Liga opposition. I guess he has a good agent or is good in interviews or something because that CV would struggle to get a job managing a championship side.
  8. It would be ****ing embarrassing to be in the same league as Portsmouth.
  9. Palace, West Ham and Everton all acted decisively and are improving. It was obvious over a month ago that this clown out of his depth yet Reed does nothing. Just hope we haven’t left it too late.
  10. Interesting tactic, leaving out all the best players.
  11. To be fair the club was a different animal back then, we were forever punching above our weight during that period at the Dell so 10th was pretty good. New stadium, rich owners and one of the most expensive squads outside the top 6 changes expectations somewhat. Idiot fans believing Cortese’s Champions League fantasies and other bull**** club PR doesn’t help either.
  12. Not really. The matches where you are most likely to pick up 3 points is the lower sides at home, a point away from home anywhere is generally a good result in the Prem for a lower side like us. Messing up too many home games against the lesser sides leaves you either having to beat the top sides at home or having to win away. Once we play Spurs we will have a better idea of where we are but even then I don’t think it will be a true reflection of our position.
  13. If he wasn’t strolling around with a face like a smacked arse I would agree with you. We are in a relegation scrap, £60mill will get us a decent replacement who will give 100% plus the funds to refresh our attacking options. Unless our Chinese owner has millions to throw around selling is a no brainier IMO.
  14. I would definitely flog him, as Adkins used to say you need everyone rowing in the same direction, no point keeping someone who so clearly doesn't want to be here. Standing in the way of his career probably has a negative effect on the other players as well.
  15. I'm not talking about this place, I'm talking about the actual supporters at the games - they are the only ones who matter or could effect change and there was precious little to put pressure on the club to sack Puel. A few boos and songs from a handful in the Northam.
  16. On the subject of re-writing history, I don't remember a huge clamour for the fans to get rid of Puel. I may be wrong but all I remember is a few chants from the back of the Northam during the second half of the final game and a bit of booing at the final whistle. If idiot fans have to throw the blame around then it has to be in the direction of Les Reed, not just for the sacking or the bizarre replacement but the month of ****ing around doing nothing in between. the whole thing smacks of the complacency that got us relegated last time.
  17. That’s probably his plan.
  18. Neither the diagram or the article it was taken from even mentions immigration you plum. Try leaning to read.
  19. The thing is, it’s idiots like you, who screamed “Racist” every time someone brought up legitimate concerns over mass immigration, that played a big part in encouraging the vote for Brexit. People rightly have worries and don’t like being called racist so when some out-of-touch London Labour arsehole talks down their nose to them they are not going to win their vote. If you are going to continue to cry like a big baby over the referendum result and point the finger it may be worth looking in the mirror first.
  20. Another surprising one: Only Matt Le Tiss has more Premier League assists for Saints than Dusan Tadic.
  21. We played well in both and have one point to show for it - that’s why they are called difficult games.
  22. Not going to make any difference though is it? All the other teams get more money as well, just means the players and their agents will earn more.
  23. What are you dribbling on about you dopey old fool? There are two main reasons why people don't vote; 1. Apathy or 2. There is nothing on offer they want to vote for. Being scared is not a reason - unless you live in Baghdad.
  24. Probably just as bad as the last one thanks to our retarded first past the post electoral system. I wonder how many millions will vote for May purely because they don’t want Corbyn to get in? What a great system, stuck with a choice of two useless old ****s.
  25. If running Saints was a computer game I would have flogged Van Dyke for £60mill in the summer, spent £16mill on a replacement, £20mill on a new striker and bumped on a 8,000 seater second tier on the Kingsland. Sorted.
