It is bonkers. 300k turning up is more than the city of Southampton turning up every year, yet at the same time we are having to make cuts in essential services because we're skint. It's not rocket science, just make cuts to the number of people needing services then we won't have to spend as much.

If Lambert had done the same as Pelle this year he would have been noshed off on here.

Out because I don't think we will get the reforms we will inevitably be promised. All these meeting between Cameron and the EU will be about is how to con the British public into voting to stay in. While there will obviously be some negative aspects about leaving I think most of the scare stories are exaggerated and the positives outweigh the negatives. Having no control of your borders is just f@cking nuts - that's the bottom line.

I dunno, the Tories have a tiny majority and still have to make their £12billion cuts, the economy is in a very fragile position and could go either way and 5 years of Tory austerity will prove how pointless voting SNP is. If Labour sort their sh!t out and get back to the middle ground they could easily get back in under the right conditions. It all depends on how the economy gets on and most of that is out of the government's control anyway.

I would say it is selfish if you are only thinking what's best for you personally.

Finishing 6th or 7th doesn't make us immune from relegation, it's arrogant to think otherwise. Same applies to clubs like Swansea, Stoke etc. Clubs our size will only ever be one bad season away from a relegation battle.

Thinking about it, if a Europa Cup campaign means we get dragged into a relegation fight it could be a disaster considering the increase in Prem prize money the season after. I wild be gutted to miss out on a European trip but you can see why the club's priority must be staying up next year.

Is there anything wrong with coalitions? The fact that the Lib Dems stopped the Tories going to extremes seemed to work OK last time. If Parliament better reflects the will of the people then surely it is stronger. Also with the current system we have constant swings from right to left which cannot be a good thing, especially when constant change (for the NHS, education etc) tends to cost money. PR is a no brainer for me, the problem is turkeys will never vote for Christmas

I'm not really bothered either way but if you look at the huge difference politically between us and Scotland now it probably makes sense to go our separate ways. The SNP and Tories are polar opposites.

People's opinions do change though, and Cameron's demonising of the Scottish in the election wouldn't do anything but make more of them want independence. Plus we have the English only vote rule they will put through which will just increase the divide, not to mention the fact that we (England) might vote the UK out of the EU. The biggest factor will be the SNP though, they will stoke up the hatred to suit their agenda. They wanted a Tory government because they knew it would suit their aim which will always be independence.

Except this is the first time the Tories have won outright since 1992. It just goes in cycles with this FPTP system, the Tories will spend the next 5 years butchering our public services, enough people will get ****ed off and Labour will get in again at some point again. I actually think this is probably not a bad time for Labour to be in opposition, the amount of cuts that still have to be made and the state of the economy mean the next term will be probably be tough for anyone. The Tories are probably the natural choice for doing the cuts anyway.

To be fair, there was just as bad hysterical, melodramatic flim flam on here from the Tories before the election at the thought of a few Scottish MPs forming a Labour government coalition.
