I had a degree of sympathy for them until I baby sat for my brothers 3 kids the other day who are a similar age. F*ck me you can't take your eyes of the little sods for 5 mins. Turn your back for a moment and one is trying to wear a lampshade while the other two are seeing what they can stick in the DVD player. They left them alone, in a unlocked ground floor apartment that was on a public road not even contained within the complex. It was not far away but it was out of sight and ear shot. Usually being in an apartment you would be reasonably safe but I expect Maddie woke up and started shouting for her mum or went to the window.

It's just the hypocrisy of it all. If it had happened to a single mother from Shirley Towers who had left her 3 kids alone while she went to score some crack she would be hung drawn and quartered by the press and middle class ass-holes like the McCanns. You can't blame the McCanns for trying to get the publicity though. The idea that they killed her is just for the nut jobs though, there is no way in a million years you would want all this publicity if you had murdered your own kid.

How do you know who the police have looked at? I'm no expert but i am pretty sure friends and relatives are the first people detectives look at in missing person/murder inquiries. As for Kate McCann not answering questions, I expect she was just in a strop because the useless Portuguese Old Bill were giving her the third degree instead of looking for her daughter.

The only thing I find offensive is people getting offended because they think being called a builder has some sort of negative connotations. sotonjoe seems to think being a builder is as bad as being a peado!

It's not but to me it's not a big deal if we qualify or not because we will probably just get d!cked in Brazil anyway. That's why I chose a Saints win at OT. Major tournaments are always better if England are there but there is always an annoying hype in the media about our chances, all that "England expects" nonsense. It gets intentionally hyped up just to make a bigger story when we inevitably get knocked out. That's followed by the usual campaign against the manager and pointless analysis of why England are cr@p at football.

If Mr McCann did do it then it would be VERY VERY STRANGE for him to get a team from the British Police to investigate it at this stage when he has got away with it. I buy the idea that at the time he would act the concerned father to try and put the police off the scent but to carry on digging now makes no sense at all.

Agree, anyone could have got a ticket if they wanted to weeks ago, fair play to the Poles who snapped them up. At least Wembley might have a decent atmosphere tomorrow.

Of course there is an element of schadenfreude if you go back to the start of this thread there were not many people wanting them liquidated. Now after all their cheating every Saints fan I know thinks they deserve to go out of existence.

That sums up why there is little hope. The science is pretty much without doubt, we KNOW we are effecting the climate (the only debate is by how much), we KNOW the effects could potentially be disastrous. Yet humans are hard-wired with a greed and a selfishness that means that we are essentially powerless to stop the inevitable happening. Just like we are incapable of stopping people starving to death, people killing each other or the financial system going pop. As a country the most important thing to do is try and access what the effects will be to and work out the best way of adapting.

There are nice areas everywhere but fact is average house prices are dictated by how desirable an area is, the average house price in my area is £232,214, Liverpool is £129,267. Liverpool is just not a desirable location.

There are plenty of nice town centres up north, with loads to do and great pubs etc. But the houses are cheap for one reason only, no one wants to f*cking live there because it's a sh!t hole. I stayed with a mate from Uni on the outskirts, I have never seen urban deprivation that bad anywhere else in the UK, except for possibly Manchester. The first thing you need in a place to live, above all else, is a job. Forget museums, tourist attractions and shopping facilities, if you have little or no income it doesn't matter where you live you will be miserable. That's why Southampton p!sses all over Liverpool.

I can see us winning this 1-0, United are sh!te under Moyes, the pressure will be on them big time.
