  1. It's greedy to moan about not getting handouts when there are people in genuine hardship. If I had £20 a week taken off me it would be like a fart in a jacuzzi, wouldn't notice in the slightest.
  2. Your greed is so ingrained you don't even realise it. very sad that you can earn that sort of money and still be upset over £20 a week when people are genuinely hard up. I pity you.
  3. It's nothing to do with tax. Everyone pays tax, the more we earn the more we pay. That's just the way it is, and it's fair. You give back to society part of what you have taken. Handouts are handouts.
  4. Some based on facts
  5. Ha ha, nice one. You know absolutely nothing about me.
  6. The funny thing is these people on 50K who moan about not getting their handouts are the first people to moan about dole scroungers and other people who actually need the help. I want my £20 a week. Waaaaaaaaaaaa....
  7. "level of maturity" - You plum! You're getting excited watching a bunch of blokes kick a ball around in a field - there is nothing mature about it whatsoever. Anyone who bites their lip reading an internet forum is a complete ***t anyway so I don't know why I am bothering to reply.
  8. B@ll@x. You can appreciate the beautiful game without publicly kissing the @rse of the bloke trying to f*ck our boys over.
  9. I'm not saying anyone on here is, they were having a right moan on the news about it tho.
  10. If I pay someone cash it's up to them if they want to pay tax on it. Anyway I include myself when I say society is greedy, we have all grown up in a system where greed is good. 50K earners crying like babies when they have their had outs taken away is just a really sick example.
  11. Anyone who claps when the ball flies in our net is dead inside.
  12. yeah, of course
  13. Might have to in the future. I wouldn't be against it for the very richest.
  14. Nope. I'm not in the top tax bracket but me and my wife earn above average salaries. I wouldn't expect handouts if I had a kid.
  15. It's still a handout. And could be put to better use.
  16. Well at least we all agree then. I would cut it much further, it's a completely outdated idea. When the news broke I was amazed that people earning so much got the benefits. even in a good financial climate it would be better targeted to people who need it, not just want it. I hate dole scroungers but at least they would spend it not just shove it in a bank.
  17. Virtually everyone is facing some sort of cut backs. Giving state handouts to people on 50K in the current situation is just complete bonkers.
  18. Because the country is skint, vital services are being cut, police, armed services etc are being thrown on the dole and there is a lot of people genuinely hard up. Someone on 50K moaning about not getting state hand outs is pathetic. Shows how sick with greed society is.
  19. agree
  20. That is daft but is due to the expense of means testing each couple. The only thing wrong with it is the fact that the couple earning 49,999 each feel the need for state support. Still no reason for someone on 50K to cry like a baby for not being given handouts. Like I said, ingrained greed.
  21. Agree, typical of the ingrained greed in today's society.
  22. The thing is Saints could price the tickets to sell out every week but Cortese has already shown he is more interested in maximising revenue than putting bums on seats. The reason there are swathes of empty corporate seats going empty is because by all accounts, it's over-priced sh!te. But if the club are making twice the mark-up they only need to flog half as many to be quids in. Then when they do sell out for the big games they are raking it in. Like wise if the average ticket price is £40 you makes as much with a 24K attendance as you would with a full house at £30. I expect a banker would think that if every game is a sell out when we are bottom of the league then the prices are too cheap.
  23. Attendances are sh!t because we are sh!t, and the economy is f*cked. You don't need to be Brain of Britain to figure that one out.
  24. There is always something magical about Christmas and it's great to have time off work and eat and drink with your family. But I can see why some people don't like it. If you havn't got any money, have a disfunctional family or are on your own, Christmas must just be a depressing reminder of how sh!t life is compared to these sickly myths portrayed in advertising.
  25. Well we should be a bit fresher than Chelsea, we've got 5 games between now and the game, they have 7 plus a trip to Japan for the club world cup.
