  1. But if this proposals come into place it would make it possible for smaller club's to qualify. But that could never happen because it hasn't before apparently. Football never changes.
  2. Don't be silly. We could never qualify for the Champions League because we never have before, or something like that.
  3. Not sell him. Simple.
  4. "Hereford, Notts County, Swindon, Preston, Carlisle and Tranmere have all benefitted from the 6ft 3in man’s trickery, pace and direct running." It's impossible to read that and not laugh!
  5. Good idea this, Staplewood is miles from anywhere.
  6. It's a big difference between pledging £100 (in an account where I'm led to believe they can still get it back) and handing over £1000 of your hard earned cash. My mate is a die hard skate, season ticket holder for years, follows them all over the country. Even he has gone in with 6 others on 1 share and he's not short of cash. You don't have to be a genius with money to know you will never see it again. If the trust do take over they will just flounder in League 2 for a year or so then be in admin again and the shares will be worthless.

    Divorce

Or in other words, women are better liars and can convince the lawyer it's all the blokes fault.

    Divorce

My mate is about to get a divorced because he caught his Mrs cheating. When I pointed out the women he'd slept with whilst being married he said it was different because she didn't know about them. I think in most of the cases both people are to blame. Women often say they are unhappy for a "multitude of reasons", I think men can be unhappy for the same reasons except they don't express their feelings like women.
  11. The politicians will take the money they need regardless, it's just you and me will pay more to make up for companies like Starbucks.
  12. Did he get a good reception then? I was still in the boozer for the start.
  13. Great performance again, you can see the players growing in belief and confidence. the 4-2-3-1 line-up suits us perfectly. Cork is the difference though, he knits everything together. has a great footballing brain.
  14. I think Cortese has shown he's not the type to cut prices to get bums on seats. He would rather sell at a premium and keep some empty.
  15. I get the impression the club are gearing up for when the team fulfils Cortese's ambitions and it doesn't matter if there are empty seats in the mean time.
  16. I couldn't give a monkeys if the chairman is likeable or not. I do care about the decisions they make though because it effects our club. I don't subscribe to the opinion that nothing else matters as long as we are bankrolled to success on the pitch.
  17. Pathetic. Just a talentless journo desperately trying to make himself popular with the local meatheads. He hasn't even got the ability to write in paragraphs FFS.
  18. Britain has to be up there with the best of them. Problem is people tend to focus on the negatives ad forget all the good stuff. Likewise many places seem great when you are on holiday but it would be a whole different story if you had to actually live there. Greece is fantastic when you are lying by the pool drinking beer, probably not so great when you live there and can't get a job. I love the Caribbean climate but it wouldn't be that enjoyable if I had to work in it. Sweden was very good but I doubt being there in Winter would be much fun. We are very lucky to be in England when you think of how many sh!t holes there are around the World where you don't know where you next meal is coming from or you live in fear of your life.
  19. I was amazed to hear about this on the radio but I can't believe that the f*ckwits are actually trying to defend the decision. As usual there will probably be no one sacked over this. As with most cases in the public sector, "lessons will be learnt" and the whole department from the top down will go into self preservation mode.
  20. Newcastle and West Brom at home are games where you should expect to pick up points.
  21. But he still had to pull the club up off it's arse. Because the takeover was so late we were behind from day 1 even without taking the -10 into consideration. We had money but money doesn't buy you time. Adkins inherited a settled side of Championship/Prem quality players, his job in League 1 was way easier than Pardew's. I'm not taking anything away from Adkins, what he has done has been exceptional, but looking at the players Pardew brought in he did a good job and his sacking was harsh.
  22. They are there for the taking. Anything other than a win would be a poor result Sunday.
  23. Nigel Pearson gave Lallana his first team debut.
  24. Poor results but given that we were only a few games in and just smashed Bristol City 4-0 away I think Pardew is right to think his sacking was harsh. His sacking was just down to a clash of egos IMO.
