It's a big difference between pledging £100 (in an account where I'm led to believe they can still get it back) and handing over £1000 of your hard earned cash. Britain has to be up there with the best of them. Problem is people tend to focus on the negatives ad forget all the good stuff. Likewise many places seem great when you are on holiday but it would be a whole different story if you had to actually live there. Greece is fantastic when you are lying by the pool drinking beer, probably not so great when you live there and can't get a job. I love the Caribbean climate but it wouldn't be that enjoyable if I had to work in it. Sweden was very good but I doubt being there in Winter would be much fun. We are very lucky to be in England when you think of how many sh!t holes there are around the World where you don't know where you next meal is coming from or you live in fear of your life.
