  1. Mentioning that doesn't stop the rest of it being useless though. Taking stats from such a short amount of games and drawing conclusions is ******.
  2. Those stats are completely meaningless in reference to who is going down this year. In the Prem it is as much about who you play as how well you play. We've conceded alot because we've played Man City, Arsenal and Everton away and Man Utd home.
  3. I agree about extreme religion in general is bad. But there is a big difference between a few nutters wanting to stone gays and the government of the country wanting them killed by law BIG BIG difference. There are 7 countries that have the death penalty for homosexuals ALL are muslim. Bit of a coincidence?
  4. Whilst it's obviously due to the people being tribal and backward you would be putting you head in the sand to say it's not connected to their religion. The Taliban claim to be followers of Islam and many other Muslim countries also have f*cked up views on Women's rights.
  5. I think we've started the season OK. Everyone on here is so so predictable, as soon as the fixtures were announced it was obvious we would be in or around the bottom 3 at the start, 4th from bottom is good at this stage.
  6. He says funny things, if that qualifies him to be PM then maybe Frankie Boyle should give it a shot.
  7. Except it will be in England where nearly all rugby fans are utter bellends.
  8. Won't be long before 'Peado' is going to be a workable theme for a fancy dress party.
  9. We obviously should have spent more on the defence. To spend £30mill in the summer and end up on Saturday with a back 5 of Fox, Fonte, Hoover, Yoshida and Gazza is not too clever. I think how much say Adkins had in the transfers will determine how likely he is to keep his job.
  10. Welfare is a massive problem and will only get worse because of the pressure on wages to stay low due to competition with Asia and Immigration. It makes doing those low paid jobs more and more pointless. You can't blame people for sitting on their ass doing nothing when the net gain of doing some god-awful job is so small. There will always be some criminal scroungers who milk the system but I believe the vast majority of people want to work if it's worth it. I think a universal benefit system is the only way forward so you don't lose a single penny of benefits if you take a job, everything you earn is on top. I would tax high earners more to help pay for it. There are too many people earning silly money for doing bog standard jobs like banking IMO. At least low earners spend pretty much all their money and put something back into the economy, don't just sit there with millions doing nothing in a bank.
  11. No need for the doom and gloom. Fulham at home is a game we should be winning if we want to stay up but we have injury problems and just don't have the strength in depth.
  12. From what Peel said it sounds like they knew what they were doing. Doesn't make it right but it's a bit different to what Saville is alleged to have done if what he says is how it happened. Before anyone else wets themselves, I still think it's wrong.
  13. You should learn to read then.
  14. I didn't say it was right you thick ***t. Just said it was a bit different.
  15. The Peel story seems completely different to the Saville one. If slags queue up to offer sexual favours, then give sexual favours, it's their own fault regardless of if they are a bit under-age. I remember at school girls doing all sorts way before they were old enough, it's what teenage girls do.
  16. I think there is definitely a valid argument for bringing the cut-off down from 24 weeks but the line has to be drawn somewhere. If you go down the 'every sperm is sacred' route and ban it altogether you create a whole load of other problems like backstreet abortions, abortions only available to those who can get it done abroad, and unwanted kids brought up in unsuitable environments.
  17. I think abortion is necessary, I don't buy this right to life nonsense for a bunch of cells inside someone's body. I'm of the opinion you have rights as soon as you are a fully developed person. It is disgusting and wrong how some people use it as contraception, though it wold be difficult to stop this. Maybe if someone has had an abortion through carelessness they should not be allowed another one for the same reason.
  18. Maybe at the next cosy little Cortese dinner someone will have the balls to ask: Why are we having to borrow money from a company registered in the British Virgin Islands? Exactly how much are we borrowing and what are the terms of the loan? Who are the Vibrac Corporation?
  19. no one, I can't be arsed. I expect someone will though and they will be right.
  20. It's not a case of Whinging, It's right to ask question's about borrowing, we could easily end up the same way as portsmouth.
  21. I expect the plan is that when the team improves so will demand. Arsenal built a bigger stadium and priced it to suit.
  22. Why do you think Arsenal tickets are much cheaper than QPR's?
  23. Exactly, we're all part of the same club.
  24. I am surprised by how low the attendances are, the take up of corporate seats is especially poor. I can only assume Cortese is not bothered about it because he knows the team will eventually improve and hence so will demand. If I were the Liebherrs I would be questioning if Cortese's policy of p!ssing in the face of club legends, the club's history and loyal club workers and suppliers is really the right approach. Also the like it or lump it approach to the supporters. There is always a large element of goodwill between supporters of a club and the club itself, I'm not sure Cortese understands this concept. Maybe better employ a CEO that does.
