Everyone who works offers something in return. Thanks to our society, which needs to be funded by taxes. I think this tax is an excellent idea. A one off Robin Hood style tax will negate the argument that people will leave the country to avoid paying tax.

Probably because the wealthy get wealthy by taking money from other people.
-
Yes please, great player.

You said we couldn't compete with Swansea in the transfer market. LOL
-
I expect that's in Euros. Im guessing the rate is quite good at the moment with Spain and Greece in meltdown.

Discussion/debate? Twitter is on par with "p!ssed bloke down pub" for reliability.

I dont get why we are persevering with this 4-3-3 nonsense. We should stick to what we are good at, there is no reason whatsoever why 4-4-2 can't work in the Prem. At the moment we are crowbaring players into positions they are uncomfortable in.

If some anonymous twitterer with a funny name says so that's good enough for me! Welcome aboard Gaston.

Who is the best SFC player you saw as a youngster

Doh! miss-read the question. He's the best player I saw when I was a youngster. Has to be Shearer then. -

Peter Shilton It annoys me that he gets overlooked so often just because he was a keeper. On paper probably the best player we've ever had. -
You guys need to stop fretting about the -10. The condition set by the FL for the new owners getting the golden share is "Accept a deduction of 10 points in the 2012/13 season". Wether they come out of admin tomorrow or in the close season makes no difference. Also the conditions have already been agreed by the members so I expect none of them will budge no matter how much the cheats try and wriggle out of it. "Therefore, the Board were faced with the prospect of numerous unsecured creditors receiving less than one penny in the pound, without having the opportunity to indicate their satisfaction (or otherwise) in the normal way. In the Board's view, these arrangements do not respect a key principle of The Football League's Insolvency Policy" - even if the cheats manage to get all the unsecured creditors from the previous CVA to say they are happy with I expect the reason they will have delayed the deduction is purely to give them scope to increase it should they fail to get a CVA this time around. They will be looking at at least a further -17 if they don't agree this one.

I really enjoyed Stockholm, quite pricey worth it.
-
Agree, the fact that so many corporate seats/boxes remain empty suggests that the club have still not got the commercial side right. Or maybe having high prices and some empty seats will still maximise revenue?
-
Why are you mongs wetting yourself because we didn't sell out against Wigan? It's Wigan FFS, there are more glamorous sides in League 1.
-
I disagree, relegation this time round wouldn't be nearly as damaging as before. I think with our current squad we would be very well placed to go straight back up. We have basically only brought Championship players so far.
-
It all depends on the relationship between manager and chairman. If Adkins said we need x amount of new players before the start of the season or we're f*cked then the blame lies solely with Cortese in failing to deliver. If Adkins said the side is more than good enough to stay up but we could do with x or y to improve the squad, no hurry Don. Then Adkins has to take the blame if we don't perform. Like I said, none of us on here are in a position to say.
-
None of us on here can say what is happening behind the scenes. It does appear that Adkins wants to bring in players and so far Cortese has failed to do it. But for all we know Adkins might have told Cortese that the current squad are definitely good enough to keep us up.
-
No one will lose their job over a bit of transfer gossip. There are employment laws in this country FFS.
-
Cortese needs to stop banging on about Europe and get his cheque book out.
-
It was Wigan FFS, I was more excited about some of our League 1 games than watching ****ing Wigan. If they had brought more than a few hundred down the ground would have been pretty much full anyway.
-
The thing is we don't know what has gone on behind the scenes. We don't know who has targeted who. I wouldn't sack Adkins even if we get relegated. But we are owned by billionaires, have a chairman banging on about Europe and have just got easily beaten by the Prems sh!ttest side. It wouldn't surprise me if Cortese decides to get someone who knows the Prem.
-
It is crazy talk, especially wanting c*ntflaps in. However it wouldn't surprse me if Cortese ditches Nige for someone proven at this level if results don't improve.
-
That was dire today. beaten easily by one of the worst teams in the league. It's gonna be a long season.
