Only a fool would want us to go down but I wouldn't be overly bothered if we did. We've signed the type of player that would probably hang around and do a good job in the Championship, we are financially secure and would bounce back quite easily IMO. I think you can read too much into pre-season games. We've had some shockers in the past and still gone on to have a good season.

I think some of you are confusing trying to do things the Barca way with actually trying to be Barcalona. I am concerned with the lack of top quality signings but can see the thinking behind the signings we have made. There is a limit to the type of player we can attract because we are newly promoted and are expected to go straight back down. To get a decent player we really need to pay over the odds and I expect there is a limit to how much Cortese will be willing to waste. If they think the squad has enough about them to stay up then it makes sense to plan long term, get good young players in who will increase in value.

Both. I'm surprised at our lack of top quality signings and my main concern is that our management and players have precious little or no experience of the Prem and don't really know what is needed. We could surprise everyone but I am expecting us to go down. I think our signings are good long term ones though who shouldn't have a problem getting back up if we do.

It's less than 3 days before they kick-off the new season and they have no owners and no players - surely there is a deadline for receiving the golden share?! I read a lot of spy non-fiction. One thing I picked up from them is if someone behaves in an odd way or out of character then there is almost always a reason. When the family walked out the house carrying the candles the grandmother held her hand in front of her face as if to appear to be crying.
