Bit of a retarded thing to say, I doubt any hooligans post on here. I don't think jail sentences are appropriate and I've never been into fighting, even when I was that sort of age I was way too soft to want to fight anyone, let alone over a football match. If two groups of nutters want to beat themselves up over a football match it's not clever but it's not really crime of the century - there's alot worse stuff that goes on and those should be the people in jail IMO.

Anyone involved are idiots but I think that any punishment should fit the crime so prison sentences would be way too harsh for someone who just shook a fence. The idea that someone should be punished more because of the sport they choose to watch it bizarre. I hope common sense prevails and they get a slap on the wrist.

Thats rubbish IMO, torture works, that's why they do it. I think in only certain circumstances it should be done, only if you know someone is involved in terrorism and are pretty certain lives could be saved.

Saints support is a bit of an unknown quantity, the only time we've had any success is when we were at The Dell which limited what we could attract, and that was decades ago. We have a hardcore of about 15K but fans do come from all over the place when there is a hint of success. I know for a fact that there was over 200,000 on the database during our later Prem years. That was unique individual purchaser of tickets. Our home game with Chelsea in 03/04 sold out in 6hrs. A good Prem team would see us knocking on 40,000 IMO.

That's exactly what I am saying, thank you.

We never had the best average attendance once when we were in the championship, the best we got was 5th highest that was the first season down. All I'm saying is that we will not be a big fish in the Championship living within our means, we will just be one of many clubs with a chance of promotion. If cortese wants to be top half of Prem in 5 years the wise thing to do would be invest money otherwise it could be decades before we get out the Championship.
-
Our last season in the Championship we averaged 17,849, Leicester this season average 21,472.
-
IF we are challenging, we are going to have to buy a team to challenge first. You are deluded if you think this current squad will be challenging in the Championship.
-
£12mill a season is a lot of gate money. Live within our means and we are just a Derby or Leicester.

I think you might be surprised at how many people don't spend their spare time staring at a computer screen, especially among the elderly.
-
What if you are 90 years old and don't have a computer. Or just maybe prefer to read your local paper?
-
That's nonsense, we will not be a big fish in the Championship especially up against clubs with 40mill parachutes to throw around.
-
I think some people might possibly like pictures to go with their match reports.
-
I think the aim is to get us in the top half of the Prem, then sell. But you don't go from League 1 to there in 5 years by living within your means, it's possible but very unlikely.

A five year plan would hint at serious investment.

If Cortese's plans are as ambitious as what is being said then an extension or new stadium is essential IMO. I think many Saints fans underestimate the potential at the club, we regularly sold out SMS and that was without any real success or investment.

SAINTS CELEBRATE 125 YEARS at the Mayflower Feb 13th 2011

Who gives a **** what he thinks? -
If true then more pathetic nonsense form Cortese.
-
Man City havn't spent much since the transfer window shut either.

The marketing agency who thought that up should all be herded out into a field and machine-gunned. Why the **** would a bank have a radio station? Apart from the actors being tossers the whole concept is ****.

Hope we get Vauxhall Motors because I think their cars are sh!t.

The badge should have been retro, following the concept of the shirt IMO. The shirt looks nice on it's own but not keen on the full strip but it's appropriate. I would definitely go for a modern, stripey design next season.

Damn, all my recent work has been for Ltd companies with proper invoices and stuff. Guess I'm going to have to only work for cash from now on. But surely me selling my services is no different to me selling something on ebay?

I have a question, if anyne is kind enough to help. If you have a day job but do a bit of work on the side, at what point to you have to tell the tax man and file returns and all that stuff? I started doing the odd job as a favour and it's sort of ballooned, my mate says it's fine and you only have to declare it at a certain amount. I don't really trust him though, he's done lots of drugs.
