I have no doubt that if Saints have a good season Cortese's plan of having fewer Season Ticket holders will make the club more money. No Saints fan under 40 has a clue what it's like to be at the top of the league, I think a lot of people will be surprised at the size of our crowds IF we run away with the league. Don't forget, we effortlessly sold close to 50K tickets for the country's least glamourous cup final against one of the country's least glamourous teams. Just because we might make more money doesn't make the way the fans have been treated is right though.

Cortese is right in what he says IMO. The FL League have just bent over and took it us the arse. These larger parachutes are going to make the Championship as dull and pointless as the Prem - football in this country is ****ed up.
-
I think the cup runs last year definitely cost us a few points so I would put the youth team out for the JPT.
-
You have just proved my point. Mandric was the person who sold pompey to a criminal - yet Sasha is the one who's getting all the bad PR. All Milan did is sell the club in good faith. Marcus could do exactly the same.
-
He could sell to anyone, Gaydamak, Chanrai or Gadafi's son - it would be the people who he sold it to who would have any bad PR if the club then went bankrupt - it wouldn't make the slightest difference to Leibherr's name.
-
He's a businessman, he would sell to whoever offered the most money - it's that simple.
-
To say he has done brilliant is complete nonsense. If he had done brilliant we would be in the Championship having sold 20K season tickets.
-
Have they announced Season Ticket numbers yet?
-
He appears to have played a big part in getting Leibherr to buy the club so he has to take credit for that. As for his ability to run a football club - the jury is definitely out. On the important side - the pitch, when you have a billionaire in charge it's just a case of finding the right manager and everything else falls into place. Pardew has done OK, this season will be the test. Off the pitch he has already made plenty of ****-ups, but he is still learning the ropes and hopefully will improve. My gut feeling is that he won't be around for long.

Exactly, you can't ID the ****ers when all you can see is their eyebrows.

Glad they banned them, I don't see it as a human rights issue because many women are forced to wear them by their Muslim husbands who don't give a monkeys about human rights.

I thought facebook messages can only be read by friends, so as such it is a private conversation? Surely you can't be sacked for something you say in a private conversation out of work. It might be worth seeing if there are grounds for unfair dismissal.

I guess we wont be seeing FMPR round here for a while then.

How can handing out million pound houses to asylum seekers not be anything to do with asylum - you are talking rubbish as usual. Of course the main issue here is our screwed up benefits system, there is also a quite obvious asylum issue. Any potential economic migrant can read that and know that if they are lucky enough to make it to England and tell the right stories they could end up in a million pound house. Also not all benefit claimers are "Wayne and Waynettas" as you put it, there might be some severely disabled English person who's family have been paying tax for generations that quite fancy moving out of their run down council flat into a plush Chelsea pad. Or someone who has paid tax for decades but has been made redundant. You have to question if these people are even genuine asylum seekers. You would have thought people who have been saved by us from certain death would show a little more gratitude.

They usually do it at the last minute. I don't think they will this time though, the crooks down the road have been one step ahead of the taxman at every turn. Chanrai will just say agree a CVA or I pull out and you get nothing.

And some mongs on here say they cancelled the installment plan because they don't believe in debt.

One of my company's clients is a local housing association. We would be there for a meeting and these scroungers sometimes turn up demanding a better property, some have actually demanded that the association pays for their cab fare home. The problem is the only people who really know the system are the ones milking it, or the do-gooders handing out the cash - neither publicise it or want it to stop.
-
I think most normal hardworking people in the country would be shocked if they knew what hand outs you can get for doing nothing. A while ago my mate was dating this girl in Shirley on benefits. There are actually places they can go to get emergency handouts. She just turned up said she had spent all her benefits and her kid was hungry then they gave her some cash. She would then go out on the **** in town.

You are right, if they think there is a good chance of them being sold they usually shy away from using them on promotional posters etc. There could be many other reasons why he is not on there though.
