  1. All this Pardew to get sacked stuff has got to be nonsense, Cortese and Leibherr seemed happy enough at the Cup Final. Since then we have averaged 2.2 points per game which, if continued through next season would see us finish with 102 points.
  2. Don't the Football League take a dim view of clubs owing the taxman money, I'm pretty sure Bournemouth had an embargo because of this.
  3. If that was the case it wouldn't kill them to say so on the OS. That's the whole point, there is zero transparency. Considering we are going through a feel good phase having won our first trophy for donkey's years, the fact that there is ANY negativity shows their PR for what it is - an complete disaster.
  4. He should look into the mirror and repeat ten times: "I'm just a banker from Switzerland, I know very little about football, I mustn't do anything too hasty."
  5. Isn't Cotterill from round this way?
  6. Surely now the parachutes are bigger the club's creditors will demand more than 20p in the pound? I can't be right that they can blow off so much debt then come out the other end rolling cash.
  7. We all know how important Leibherr and Cortese are to SFC, that doesn't mean we shouldn't have an opinion. I think it would be crazy because the team are playing well, the fans like him, the players like him and everything is set up to produce a winning side next year. Also I think it's fair to give him a pre-season to mould his team how he wants and I don't think it sets a good example as a company if you show zero loyalty and sack people at he drop of a hat, it works both ways. If you want your staff, supporters etc to stay loyal don't ditch people at the first opportunity. Chuck Pards on the managerial scrap heap and Lambert might just think, **** you I'm off too.
  8. I seriously doubt West Ham will be desperate to land League 1's 7th best manager.
  9. There's no dressing this up, sacking Pardew would be the act of a lunatic.
  10. You know as well as I do that many people vote for who they want as PM, as well as what party they want or who the local MP is. If we have another unelected PM, particularly from a party that came second by MILES it will make a mockery of our democracy.
  11. Surely Brown resigning means Cameron has to be PM? How can it be right that some Labour nobody or Clegg gets the job, it was a clear choice between Brown, Cameron and Clegg and Cameron won most votes, it's quite simple.
  12. We are going to need a combination of both renewables and nuclear , it's not an either/or thing IMO.
  13. That's the bit I have issue with, I don't think any politicians work for anyone other than themselves and their party - as we are seeing with the current mess. You just have 3 groups of people plotting their own route to power and the downfall of their rivals. At least when 1 party are in power they work truly together, they have to do a good job in power or get kicked out as they take responsibilty.
  14. Isn't a hung parliament way more likely with PR? I don't see the point.
  15. Maybe they know it as fact?
  16. To be fair, no one on here knows wether the BBC know the real reason or not. There is no point blindly dismissing it just because it's not what we want to hear.
  17. One thing all these rumours has highlighted is how fragile our grasp on financial security is. We are just a billionaire's plaything, at any moment we could be just tossed aside and be in a similar position to where pompey are today or where we were a year ago.
  18. Hughes was gash at City, would be dumb to sack Pardew now. We would be the new QPR.
  19. The programme thing obviously wasn't a production issue so it must hint at something going on with Pardew, especially as the club are not giving a reason.
  20. That was a big mistake by Cameron, not only did it make the Lib Dems more popular but it increased the turnout. The tories would have been better off if the Labour voters would have stayed uninterested in the whole thing.

Heard the same rumour, don't think it would be the cleverest move. I would take Pardew with a years league 1 experience over Hughes any day.
  22. Who's meeting Wednesday?
  23. I blame Northerners and the Welsh.
  24. It will be interesting to see if Chanrai is still willing to buy the club after HRMC dumped the extra millions in fines on. With football creditors getting first dibs on the parachutes and there not being alot to make through player sales, there can't be much in it for him.
